| Their members are mostly rich very old white men from the banking, oil industries and american fortune 100 companies, retired republican etc (source usa today)
So im guessing next female members would be people like meg whitman or sallie krawcheck, white female ceos basically.
Then maybe some billionaire heiress who donates millions to GOP
Or maybe Natalie Gulbis by a long shot.

| Sorry, not very informed. I understand that Augusta is men only and they have been pressure for years to have woman members. but whats wrong with having a boys club?

| It's one of the most archaic traditions out there and I'm surprised that it's been allowed to go on for so long. If you ask me, I think the PGA and LPGA should have boycotted Augusta altogether. | |

That is truth but I doubt it will happen even if PGA and LPGA will boycott Augusta. Those very very rich white man really do not care at all. I was told by an American friend of mine that, there was once a LPGA player try to get the public to boycott all product advertise during the live telecast of the Master event in one of the year, to force the issue of having female playing in Augusta. That year the Augusta committee decided to stop all live telecast and sponsor of the Master. It is not $, as they do not need it at all. Another story that I heard from my US friend was. PGA Mcilroy was sitting in a restaurant inside Augusta with his golf cap wear backward (like all younger kid liked to do). He was approached by one of the club member and ask him to wear his cap properly. Roy ignore him for the 1st time. He return and says "Sir, if you do not follow the dress code of this club. I will remove you from the club immediately" Now, that is called $ talked !

| I like to share another story that I heard from another US friend regarding Augusta as I have asked about this club everything I meet American golfer. I do not know whether how truth is it. A new member was sitting in the lounge and he was bragging about how much million or billion US of dollar his company is making every year loudly for 30 minutes until one old gentleman walk to him from another table and says " What do you think of this idea of mine ? " " You will buy your company by tomorrow noon time " | |

| Easiest way to shut femists mouths is to let in a couple of them. This is expected, there is no way out for Augusta when backed against the wall. | |

| Its not surprising as Augusta had actually allowed a certain number of females to play each year as guests, so it was inevitable that they were eventually going to allow female members to join the club.
There is too much pressure from modern society to allow this billionaire boys club to exist, not to mention Augusta's long tradition of having IBM CEO's to be members, which is currently a female

Which was a good thing right??? It was one of the USA's women's rights representatives, and rather than make the sponsors have to make a choice, Augusta committee said, "we will let you out of your obligations this year"....
You can bet the advertisers breathed a huge sigh of relief.....

It was actually Ricky Fowler at his press conference, he was trying to promote his website, but when asked (told) the 2nd time he changed it back.
People want to play at Augusta.... I want to play at Augusta... any club has its rules, abide by them or go elsewhere....
