Irons for Male & Female? Empty
PostSubject: Irons for Male & Female?   Irons for Male & Female? I_icon_minitimeSun Jan 02, 2011 4:14 pm

I was browsing some Irons yesterday and took a closer look and realised that there are Irons meant for males and females.

Physically, it seems that Irons meant for ladies have slightly shorter shafts compared to Irons for men. My instructor had also told me once that the Irons I'm using are 'ladies fit'.

So just a silly question, I understand that golf is about using the equipment best suited for oneself. There isn't any restriction if a 10yr old kid wants to use full-length irons as long as they can handle it. But besides the length difference for shafts, are there anymore differences between Irons for males & females? For example, the clubhead might be lighter by a couple of grammes and so on?
