My 7th year anniversary

7th years ago....cant remember the date but around the end of Aug, I first tried my luck with my what I called 'almost seasoned beginner' game at OCC.

7th years ago.......I gotten my first birdie.

It was pretty shocking as I was not prepared for it. ie no birdie celebration dance rehearsal before that.....and more importantly...no bets then.

It happened at OCC Vanda.....the par 5 hole which need to cross water. Tee off....landed near the long kang on the left side....then 2nd shot, go near the trees on the other side of the fairway.....but luckily got lots of green in between ball and hole.

3rd shot....heng heng near to hole...donno how far...but putt-able.

Since then, I realize the limitation of myself and the importance of short game as a result

I don't remember my first birdie but I remember my first this year. It was at Ponderosa when I played with Chocoman

What this thread made me realize is that 7 years ago, I did not know any of you and had lost my interest in golf. Since then, I've come to meet some of the finest friends anyone should have the pleasure of knowing, found my love for this game again and have had some of the best games ever. Not because I played well, but because of those GRians who made, and continue to make, this sport so special to me.

I don't know what will happen 7 years from now but I do know that I'll continue to enjoy chicken wings from my golfing buddies and I hope to repay that favour as often as I can
