Scott's nervousness shown when he was putting from 9th hole up to 11th especially with birdie opportunity. He should have gotten 2 birdie at least ... His missed putt were short by less than 1/4 foot albeit the lines were good ...
One consolation for Woods, he is expected to move from No. 4 to No. 2 in the Official World Golf Ranking, his highest position since December 2010 ...
What an unexpected twist to the ending. With the wind picking up, Lytham is finally showing its teeth and many of the contenders are finally caught out.
Getting into bunkers, no hope to get it out in one, hitting it backwards in the bunker to get it out in two, snap hooking into the trees when least expected, etc... a tapestry of drama.
Congrats to Ernie, what a way to cap a long-time resurging career. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Commiserations to Adam, another nice guy. It shows he can contend at the highest level again, and his swing is now impeccable. Just a small lapse of concentration at the last 4 holes cost him dearly.
Tiger perhaps made some bad decision at that bunker, cost him a triple bogey. In contrast, GMac made some good decision from the same bunker and got away with a bogey. Tiger's game is coming along nicely, perhaps distance control with his short irons remains to be perfected, but no major flaws anymore.
Should be interesting to watch the remaining majors.

But then again, with his 2-iron stinger that he uses to great effect, who needs a driver?
His stingers are great ... high % ball in play ... but yesterday he was exposed ... when chasing he was unable to pull out his driver ... at times playing from 50m behind others!!! and when the iron goes into the bunker ... he was so far back .. royally screwed!!! Which iron does he have a project x in ? I think 2 iron ... he was using that for a par 4 GIR when birdies were needed!!!

What an incredible finish at the Open Championship! It may have been one of the most shocking finishes in recent memory... Adam Scott had full control all weekend - no one could catch him. He had a 4 stroke lead going into the final four holes... The Claret Jug was waiting for him on the 18th hole. But he crumbled under the pressure of The Open... Scott made 4 bogeys on the final four holes and finished 6 under. 6 under par is a great score. But a legend named Ernie was playing 2 groups ahead of Scott - and he finished at 7 under par. Congratulations to Ernie Els, the 2012 Open Championship winner! Ernie had a stellar round, and even made a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th green, which kept him from a playoff and ultimately gave him the win. WOW!

This is the open championship, remember 03, Thomas Bjorn also had one hand on the Claret Jug until the 17 holes, he lost to Ben Curtis. 99 Champion Paul Lawrie, Van De Velde would had won even with a 6 but he took 7 on the last hole to gave the title to Lawrie. I'm sure there's more moment like this to come in the open championship.
