Why more people don't play golf

i feel that you will enjoy any sport as long as you are good at it...well there are some individuals that enjoy the game whether they like it or not.

golf is generally an expensive sport (equipment, golf memberships, range, etc) but equipment costs have came down quite abit since last time when it was more a "rich man" game and u can play in m'sia if on budget...have to compromise time vs cost.

like any sport..have to practice to get better at it so can't range

it all adds up i guess so depends on the individual to weigh this and decide if golf is something that they want to go into in the first place...thats what i advise my friends if they ask me about taking up the sport..

Just to add...

What I find tough about the game is that you have to generate sustained solitary momentum. With other sports involving tons of movement of the ball or the body, you can read, react and ride on the energy/situation produced by your teammates / opponents..but in golf, you have to be at your best, by your self...while standing still!!!..to me that's one of the toughest things to do in sports...

P.S. if you have any of your other clubs fitted by the same fitter, I would seriously advice you to have them checked as the epoxy might be screwed for the other clubs as well... just to be safe.
