SHould you get fitted?

Haha. I share the same exact views as the writer although his credientials justify his writings.


Comparing 'bros here' who benefitted getting their clubs fitted but everyone else has no clue what state of their game is jus makes it sound like data being plucked from thin air.

Can they chip properly? Putt? Hit pitches within 15ft 90% of the time? Drive a certain level of accuracy and distance? Hit GIRs an avg number of times? Ur guess or assumption is as good as staring at ur keyboard thinking what to type out.

I think its very important to be fitted with the right shot.


since being fitted with knock down shot....I am now more confident

The question about getting fitted have so many options, what are the priority? Here are some fitting options here,
1) length of club
2) loft of club
3) Lie angle
4) shaft flex
5) shaft torque
6) spine alignment
7) overall weight
8) swing weight
and the most important of all, Swing Fitted
And there are many other options which are not listed in here. If we have a tight budget to consider, where shall we start with?

IMHO, even if you are a beginner, you can benefit from getting 1) correct grip size 2) correct shaft weight

Next up when you can hit your irons a consistent distance but miss the green left/right, get fitted for lie angle.

The rest is beyond my level of golf...

100% go see a fitter ... irrespective of your game ... if its a decent clubfitter he'll tell you if u need to be fitted or should go see a pro instead

Tks bk, you have just pointed a very important point on fitting, the correct grip size.
It's the basic yet I have missed it.

True ... from my past experience the same holds true for some pros!

Agree completely, absolutely get fitted. The key though is finding the right fitter and to be fitted in the right environment.

After reading so much of this thread..... I am fully convinced that I should be fitted to bring my golf game fm the slump.

I am going to start with my 3 iron which has no bloody use to me. hopefully ....something magic can happen
