WHat does NSRCC membership include?

@enwee you're right abt the Msia courses. I heard mbgc is tough for beginners. so maybe get NsRCc for 2-3 year term then consider MGK? love to hear anyone's thoughts on this thanks.

Range and green can be quite huge different story, range mostly flat and you only hit in one direction also even a bad shot, u get a 2nd chance. Green, u may need to hit up/down hill sometimes from the roughs, bunkers etc etc, if u hit a bad shot, there's no 2nd chance u need to know how to recover.....where u normally range?

I prac at mbgc cause i stay in the east...yah i know man... need to prac on greens more... sigh...i think i lack confidence haha...

Oic, then NSRCC is convenient for you lah, keep playing on executive does not help a lot as well. U need to get to play full course. Confidence? Then u need to play more.

NSRCC joining fee is low but running cost is almost the highest in town. 10 years with NSRCC cost me close to S$100k. I switched to Raffles last month. Every game weekday or weekend is only S$21.40. Did a simple calculation, if i play 2 weekday and 1 weekend per week. NSRCC is going to cost me S$7k more per year. Food is cheaper at most of the private club too. you may be right, but not everyone can come out up front with $40+K without considering other. It's not peanuts $$$

I agree with slinger, who are your kakis? Saturday / sunday morning game U need to book on friday, and 1 week ago at the club. If you are not good with your game, then prepare to be HENGRui , or TPK or goddest of fortune.
Week days, U have to wait there to get a 2nd ball or join flight. No walking, or playing alone.

I finish my contract with them last year. I did not continue as it dont make sense. Old school of 38 for me to play there and If my friend is not a member, then it would be another 100.
It is 320-350 my$ .
U can have game in JB + lunch + petrol. U can practice and gain your confidence very fast.
At the actual tee box, on wk days, U can trash out 2nd ball or 3 rd if no body behind U. Try that at SAFRA, or branded club in singapore , the member u play with worry that he get suspended .

HANDICAP is all bulls, who honor ? scratch players are not giving me my full strokes, ETI-QUETTE , INTEGRITY & Respect for others are more important.

@Angchug, thanks for the info on the FB page, took a look and its great that Singaporeans are taking an active step in preserving their rights! HOwever, i did a quick sum on the fees (i.e. membership, green, buggy, insurance, subscription fees) for 10 year period and it came up to about 35k assuming that you played 2 weekday and 1 weekend. Are there any other fees which i missed out (e.g. booking fees)?

Mandai Executive course ?

I try to keep my cost of golfing realistic by reducing my number of games per mth and also range.

It will also help if wager during games can be increased selectively depending on the kaki

Here is a quick example:

NSRCC Golfing 8 weekday ($50) + 4 weekend ($80) X 12 months X ($40) = S$9,120.00

Private Club 8 weekday ($22) + 4 weekend ($22) X 12 months X ($150) = S$2, 064.00



The difference is almost S$7,000 per year. 10 years = S$70,000.00

Technically the club is trying to tell all Singaporean to consider joining a private club.

It’s no longer a special club for NS man.

All NSman privileges expire on 1st Sept 2012.
There are more example on the FB page where you can download and compare. However it's still your choice.
