NSRCC Membership Booking

Guys,

I know there are a few topics on this before. I have done the sums and it made sense for me to take a membership at NSRCC as i am intending to play once a month and the current discount and free extension makes it quite cost effective so far. 

I do have a few questions though.

How difficult is it to book the weekend games? Do we book it via online via ballot and if so what time does the slots open for balloting?

How about the weekday games? 

I apologise if this has been asked before.

Booking typically opens 9 days before... ie booking for next Friday's slots will open tonight at 6pm sharp.. 

Difficult? yes and no.. yes if you are booking 18 holes and at changi.. no if you are looking for 9 holes ..

Not sure about weekday games though.. hope this helps.

things have changed

It is very very hard to book weekends now as they are always almost 100% full

Sometimes even the most ULU time slots are taken up

I don't suggest u even sign up membership

If play once a month, you are better off paying guest rates

Yah agree with above. I join flights most of the time and even so, find it much more difficult to get empty single slots

ya agreed

And nowadays, almost every 2 weeks they have weekday tournaments and all slots are taken up

Forget about afternoon 9h, as 80% are beginners. even tee off 437pm, may not be able to finish as the last 2 holes will be playing in darkness.

Its a fact.

Don't sign the membership as you are just contributing to the monthly subscription

Their strategy is simple:

1. Sign as many new members as possible to increase their income
2. But golf slots remain the same
3. Over time, a lot of golfers will give up
4. But still have to pay subscription monthly
5. During low months, yes, you get a few flights to play
6. Nowadays, i get to play alternate weekends only. and its those ULU timings where any lightning stop, i cannot cross over

Dont bother playing there on weekends at Changi.
But if you like Kranji, Sunday afternoons over there may be ok

i know what you mean.

Very often we are busy and always miss the timing haha

We are not as dedicated

Yah the timing when booking starts is when I hold telecons with overseas.

I'm resign to playing lesser now. Hope this might end up with a higher handicap and then can enter contest when I'm eligible for a higher handicap bracket haha (sorry I just couldn't resist taking a dig)

Yes, its getting more difficult. 

Probably due to 2 factors, no airforce n more new members.

yah man.. now is like you have to log on 7 days ahead of your play day.. and ball game also difficult now..
