| Here is what you should be expecting for those trying out a more thorough custom fitting session with the trackman at BFG. http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.aspx?page=17351&select=457&select2=13077 You must be aware that you should provide as much feedback as you can to the fitter so that it will be more fruitful and precise. More importantly, be dressed for the occasion. Goin for the fitting in your work or business attire is just not going to give you accurate numbers. End of the day, you would have wasted everyone's time including yours. | |

| OK, I finally had time to go pick up my clubs today so here's some pics. The entrance of Fuzion Golf: On the left side of the building is their 'stockpile' of inventory This is their workshop. Space is cheap in US. Close up of their equipment. Firstly, the Fujikura Frequency Analyzer: One of only 3 puring machines of this model in CONUS: The surefit heads for the Titleist 710s came in today. Will schedule a demo on it in different shafts once they get them the next day. If you are a Mizuno Fan instead, no worries: Headed to the range straight after that. I can tell you that the 3 wood and hybrid shots felt so solid. The Driver had a different ballflight compared to the current one - much higher and launches on different trajectory. It also goes straighter compared to the current one which has a slight tail draw. Amazing what a different shaft and 1* can do to the ballflight. I will bring both drivers back to Fuzion Golf when I test try the irons and see if the numbers match up. Driver 3wd shaft Hybrid head and shaft | |

| Driver - D3 10.5 with Diamana Blueboard 63X tipped to 274cpms 3wd - FT Tour 13* with Accra XT 70 M5 untipped Hybrid - Rescue TP 19* with Accra XH 85 M4 tipped to 286cpms.
For irons, i have been having a blast with blades. Waiting on the 710s to have some shaft options this week. So far, been having best results with KBS Tour S 120g with the land angle and height of traj being the most ideal.

| I got away from being stubborn by being constantly outdriven. Ran 4+miles yesterday and nearly died. Got myself some Izzo resistant bands and a Callaway impact bag too for some muscular strength training. | |

| great thread S70B. After your experience what is your opinion on the generic fitting charts used by some clubfitters and companies such as Ping. Also who fitted your original set and was there much of a variation? | |

Hi RegiT 1stly, I always think for the consumer, fitting is terrific if you are serious about the game. I see no point for a total beginner to get fitted straight away not because he/she wun benefit from it but 1stly, its becos there is a possibility of lack or lost of interest after a few tries and thus, giving up the game. Also, I believe that for golfers who have played the game for a little bit, dynamic fitting is more accurate. For Ping, having a static fitting chart is their policy and belief that this is how a golfer should be fitted 1st. I do not see other companies doing that because I think they believe in what I have mentioned above. Going for demo days available to the local market now is a great way to narrow down choices of whats suitable for you. Thats why you shd maximise the opportunity to go try out irons in different shafts and lies like what Titleist has during theirs, to know what works and what doesn't. The results on the range during the demo will more or less shift you towards a certain type of shaft like graphite v steel, Proj X v KBS or DG etc. For me, I felt best hitting DGs over Proj X or NS Pros but don't have conclusive results like data with numbers to back it up. Looking at the height and ball flight on the range to me is also not as accurate as having numbers on the trackman to supplement what I see. Going thru an even more extensive clubfitting like mine more or less confirms my 'gut feel' with results of distance, angles and accuracy numbers. For eg, how Proj X doesn't suit me at all as it not only doesn't 'feel good' at impact, the distances and other numbers all suffer. By relating to the clubfitter what I had success with and what not, I now have data to backup my 'feel' that what is unsuitable for me is really confirmed by the Trackman. I have to note to you that to minimise biasness and perception, the fitter here didn't tell me what shafts I was hitting with until I have had a few shots with it to ask me what and how I felt. All their demo iron shafts are not fitted w the flashy manufacturing labels but with a generic sticker instead. My previous fitters in Sg were both Mark Higgs and Eric of BFG. The 3yr old backup set I'm currently using now fitted by Mark were only off in their lofts being 1* weaker than std. Otherwise comparing the shaft fitting, the DG just lost out in terms of carry distance to the KBS. The KBS has also marginally smoother impact feel but my couple of misses were to the right whereas for the DGs, they were left. You will know if the fitter is good too if he can also tell if your impact sound is off. We both can tell the diff esp w the Proj X that the impact sounded hollow and weak compared to other shafts. The numbers on the trackman confirms it. I see the future of clubfitting in Sg heading in the same direction as what US has to offer. Of course, we all have to take baby steps in the beginning. our Friend of GR, Titleist Asia and also BFG already have Trackmans at their place and only when people can see that paying slightly more to use it for their clubfitting process is a worthwhile investment for them; can we see more and more clubfitting toys and tools being introduced to the Sg market.
