here's Brandt Snedeker with his interview of WITB

statistically he is doing better and winning after switching from steel to graphite.

last week RBC winner Carl Pettersson was said to have a SF installed in his 4 iron.

interesting, I have always wonder if I should just do my long irons. Reason is I am happy with my PW - 5 iron, so dont want to experiment further.

Is it recommended to have mixed shafts of graphite and steel? or just stick to my 4 hybrid replacement.

I am now a believer of grahite shafts in my iron set - I play the Yamaha V Forged with GD Tour AD shafts, and these shafts have been helping my game tremendously. They may look "sissy" [compared to others playing with DGS300 / steel shafts] but its not the look but how they perform to get the ball near the pin.

I think listen to the club fitter is the best advise. When I went to see Eric to fit my irons, he straight away say ....I think u are not suitable for steel shaft.

So he fitted me with graphite and not only that, a super light i70

Since back from my 1 year golf break, I changed my shaft twice within 2 mths.
First I bought the Nike Combo with DG300 "R"
Finding it a bit heavy....
Within 2 games, changed to KBS Tour90 R-A flex.
Still feel that I need to whips it hard.
I went to try NSPRO and some lady's club..... and love it!
It was such a joy to hit lighter and more flexible club.
I swallow my ego once again and change to a even lighter and more flexible
GD Tour AD (fully "A" Flex)

Had my first game today, with the graphite "A" flex.
It is much easier to launch and hit.
Ball goes much higher and straighter now.
Had 4 approach short to within 5 feet to the pin.

Graphite shaft "A" flex is here to stay for me.
But still need sometime to adjust the flex/ tempo.
