Can someone explain what is so difficult about Augusta?

All I know is that green speed is super fast and some of the fairways are narrow. Watching it on tv doesn't really give you the full appreciation of the difficulty of the course.

Go buy TW13 Mal.

Set the conditions similar then u will see it for urself.

Dun cheat and use TW hor. Mebbe create ur own golfer.

U will know then.

Tot of buying that for my ps3. But am still playing elderscrolls skyrim. Maybe it's time to dump this never ending game for tw13.

Super fast green speed n very narrow fairways with very matured trees is already very difficult Liao.

Imagine putting on a reverse wok and you know how fast the green is. That's what I read.

It's not just about the fast greens. If you listen to the commentary Mal, you'll hear Nick Faldo mention Rae's creek everytime someone misses a short putt.

My very sketchy recollection is that all putts break towards Rae's creek, I can't quite recall if it's the lowest point of the course and/or the grass growing in that direction. So supposedly you not only have to factor in the break, speed and grain, you have to factor in Rae's Creek when putting. The reason there were so many inexplicable missed gimme putts during the third round of this year's Masters.

Found a link that explains the myth of Rae's Creek and its influence on putts not matter where on the course you are.

Louis Oosthuizen just Albatrossed / Double Eagle the PAR 5 #2 from 260 yds out.

Landed the ball on the entrance of the green and it just rolled and rolled towards the pin and in it went. It will be a shot and hole out that will be talked for a very very long time.

Because of this, he now leads at -10

looks like phil is self destructing at the par 3 #4. On his way to a triple bogey on a par 3. Drops 3 strokes to -5

Yep, it show how fast the green (although down slope), landed near the apron and roll all the way to the pin.

If Phil did not has a triple bogey on a par 3. He could has won .. too bad

Looks like any one if the players like Phil, Louis, Peter, Lee, Matt, and even Padraig can win it too. But ultimately Bubba stumbled over the finish line and made fewer mistakes. Well done!
