| It's better to look at the average per Green in Regulation than Putt per round as it tell you how you transform your birdie oportunities to shave stroke of your score. | |

Ball on green = putt Ball on fridge = putt Ball 20-30m from green = putt Ball in Green side bunker = putt
Reason for not chipping/pitching.... I suck!!!! Ball on green = putt - Go practice. Ball on fridge = putt - Makes sense Ball 20-30m from green = putt - Practice chipping Ball in Green side bunker = putt - Sometimes it makes sense if there's water in line of shot. Reason for not chipping/pitching.... I suck!!!! - The more reason to practice chipping/pitching
This is golf!
Bro, do not believe what he wrote. Lousy golfer could be a buaya

Not necessary bro. You could be playing high % GIR with allot of lag putt. You can be playing very good score. err prob is, my GIR oso not high... lol...
not forgetting the usual OB's, water penalty..... 39 putts ? bro, we are talking 18 holes, not 27 holes hor...haha !!! Is the comment necessary? Lets be more encouraging.

Bro, do not believe what he wrote. Lousy golfer could be a buaya Ha! Ha! Only his friends can testify if he is one. I am not Buaya lah... just lousy. Anyway, the most difficult shot to practice is those 20-30m chip/pitch/flops as there is no place except for on the course to practice them. Most practice greens are not big enough to try a 30m flop. Practicing in range does not seem to help... In range, can flop until just nice miss the ceiling, but go course will fat the shot... chipping in range, ball can check-stop, go course, ball just run, run, run... Haiz

Your average putts per game I guessed must be below 30 to make such comment ?? If not you should refrain from making such comment. If your putts are 10 putts lesser than bro Jake here, that means 29 putts per round and below, yeah I think you can make that comment. Even pros are doing average 26 per round which is already good statistic. So you are a pro?? Can give me just 5-5 as I used to play in 90s. Even than my putts per round were around 35 - 40 putts. Think you should still win la. Name your stake please. If not, I think you are looking down on people here. For your info, average golfers' putts are around that 35-40 level. titu

- A total 32 putts gave you an avg of 1.77 per holes. I think it is very good for an average player. I also agreed with all, that it is pointless for this putting stat if one cannot hitting high % in GIR.
I record stats in every round I played. Fairway hit 70%, putt 1.8, sand shot and GIR but my GIR is less then 30%. With this, you can guess my avg score. I am still at the level to aim at the centre of the green (not at the pin) for all my approach shots except close chipping.
With :
High putting avg with low GIR ( there is allot works to be done) High putting avg with high GIR ( work to done on your putting) Low putting avg with low GIR ( accurate and distance control work to be done) Low putting avg with high GIR ( everybody is look for )
Putt is only consider when ball is on the green. Using putter to putt from apron or rough does not consider. What one do a chip when ball is on the green. I will recorded that as putt. I do sometime chip on the green when I have long lag putt up the high slope. Again, I love to chip than putt ( something really screw up with me )
U're not alone. I prefer to chip than putt too.
