| KK, the MX-300s are surprisingly quite sleek looking at address. Much lesser offset compared to MX-25s, along the lines of a Titleist AP2. They are pretty easy to hit too. At address, the bigger size of the 300s are hardly noticeable too. The MP68s are much smoother and softer than the 67s. Its quite amazing how a similar head design can feel different. The 67s were a bomb here and lots of 2nd hand sets were found at golf shops shortly after they were released. Alot of shops told me that it was becos they couldn't match up to the hype of the MP32s. The salesperson at EW has become sort of a friend now so he lets me try his own personal equipment and that was also how I manage to test try the new Nike Method prototype putter. He is a very good player. Hits a long ball but he has settled with the MP58s for the 3-5 irons and MP68s for the 6-p. They are just that much easier to hit for a player's CB than the blades. They also cost about 100 buckeroos more for the stock set over the 68s. | |

| Hmm.. no lei my clubs are not really whacked out. Thought they're quite hardy. In fact when someone tried to change the lie angle of the club he couldn't really do much (proper fitter, mind u).
Or maybe it's just the Mx-900s. Freakin heavy and indestructible. I don't see many second hand sets ard too would like to get another one.

I'm goin 'Commando' with my new irons whatever they may be. Its time for some 'battle scars' just like the Callaway X Forged that I'm using now. Plus (and I know that SSquirrel agrees w me), walking with a set and hearing your irons go 'click, click, click' etc is quite melodious and trance-inducing. Very soothing to the soul.

| FR:
I just came back from golf hse, the price of 58s are sg1440 after discount. If you push the sales person, you might be able to get it with free bag and fairway (other brands - non mizzy). The 52s, are tad cheaper, you could get it for sg1250. A bit the ex for my taste budget. I am a poor feller already, so mo money to buy, if I buy it, CFO will would my fried my libido and feed the dogs...neighbour's dogs.
The mx700 driver is going for about 569, fairway for 299 and 269 for hybrids.

| That is big difference: Nike Split Cavity = S$640 Mizuno 58 = S$1440
Can someone tell me if 58 is twice that good?

| personal preference lor.. and i'm sure they play differently as well. if it works for you and you're at a stage where you really want to improve your game, then price shouldn't be a problem. (but reasonable lah.. it shouldn't cost more than a car) | |

No idea, S70B. I've intentionally stayed out of golf shops to avoid a mis-swipe of my credit card.

| Depends on your wallet. You wun find it more forgiving but the feel at impact will be quite different. Are you after efficiency or pleasure? That will help you decide whether you need a new set of irons. | |

Actually, I'm after efficiency. I feel that if my clubs are efficient, I derive pleasure. It would really suck if I spent good $$ on pleasurable clubs which weren't efficient.

| Well, I like players clubs cos the pleasure of hitting its sweetspot with great impact feel will drive me to improve my swing and try and re-create that feel everytime. If I was after efficiency with less effort, I will game full GI too. It will help bring or maintain my scores with less practice but it wun make me a great ballstriker. Its what u want with ur golf game. No right or wrong. | |
