DGman Eric, it was nice to meet you and visit the den after a long time, to be honest there's a good reason why i'm not touching any of your poisonous toys unfortunately #$*$#@& I laid my hands on your Razr Hawk 5 wood fitted with Tour AD shaft, which to my pleasant surprise gave me a cool distance of 190m as per Trackman stats, so easy to hit!! The poison is working slow on me.....

| Guys, any follow up field reports after owning your razr fit drivers for a couple of weeks?
I'm gonna have a gift coming my way, a razr fit 10.5 deg US reg specs stock shaft. I understand the club is 'tuneable' but my only concern is whether this specs will balloon the ball even if I get fitted for after market shaft?
I am gaming a 9 deg G15 with Aldila NV 55 stiff. Shaft supposed to have mid high kick point but I'm launching it nicely to mid ball flight, drives between 200 - 220m, ss mid 90s
I used to have the 10.5 deg G15 that launched way too high. (was fitted by a Ping dealer in the north some more !) Wasted money had to sell it. If the razr fit has same high launch characteristics, then I better change to 9.5 deg
I'm also likely to go to Eric to fit a shaft but would like to game the stock shaft a bit first. How does the stock shaft compares between stiff or reg. thanks in advance!

| never tried stock shaft no idea, you can probably try Fubuki K, Tour AD DJ.
Ping clubs are pretty jacked on actual loft vs whats printed.
Best to get fitted. u can try out the different shaft combinations at BFG atm.

| we have several demo shafts with the cog and one can bring in their Razr Fit to test with different shaft options and check out what's the launch angle, spin rate, carry and total distance compared to the stock shaft with the aftermarket.
we have BB 70S, Ahina 60R, Proto K 60R+, Fubuki K 50R and 60R+ motore gold 55S. coming soon Matrix Ozik (white) in 50A, 60S and motore F1 in 55R and 60S.
i am sure you will be able to test the difference (if any)....

| Just a bit itchy hand, what if I fit the fit with my Tour AD?
Btw went to the Callaway Demo on Sat in MBGC, the stability of the fit is no where near the tour ad or the diamana 55。But the face the very nice upon impact. Maybe if I hit a 95 this wk will consider....hehe...

| Thanks all for prompt replies. Eric, I'll definitely take up your offer! I'll let trackman help determine the right shaft. Thanks in advance yah!
Eric, given that you fitted me before for irons (mp 53 sf i95 stiff) and wedges, you reckon I can take the 10.5 deg or 9.5 deg? Yes i also heard before that Ping's stated loft may be lower than wat it actually is.. Anyway, I dun mind slightly higher launch on the razr fit 10.5 deg if it's a longer carry than my G15!

| Just read this review http://www.thehackersparadise.com/?p=15945
'The RAZR Fit I received from Callaway for testing had a 9.5* loft and a stiff flex Aldila RIP’d shaft (60g).'
'The ball flight that I was getting was mid-high that was more on the higher side but by no means ballooning. I’m not a big mover or worker of the ball (well, except maybe to the right) but by setting the RAZR Fit up this way I seemed to have a straighter ball flight or on occasion a little draw which I’ve never had in my golfing life. The ball still seemed to have some roll out as well despite the higher side trajectory. '
Think I better not take the 10.5 reg

| Hi pocketace, I only tried the stock shaft on trackman at the Den. 3 letters. CMI. You need to get fitted to determine which shaft combo can give you the desired spin rate, ball flight with yr own swing. Different swing characteristics can generate different results for 2 pax using the same shaft. On my own, I have tried the ahina 50s, tour ad BB 60s and fubuki k 60s. Of the 3, the BB gives me the best total distance, ball flight (11-14 on trackman), spin between 2200-3000. Hence I am stuck with this combo. The fubuki k is an excellent choice as well albeit slightly higher ball flight (14-16). Ahina for me generated too much spin rate as compared to the other two. Of course, the fact that my idol is using BB also helps me to narrow down my choice just a little easier.

| Bro pocketace, agree with bro asahi to get fitted for the correct shaft which suits your swing. Comparing my now ex R9 SuperTri 9.5* (same shaft, Fubuki K 60R), I do notice my Fit 10.5* is getting a slightly higher flight. Managed to get a nice mid-high flight very close to my R9 after tweaking with tee heights. Now I'm tee-ing my ball lower to get a nice ball flight and gained distance with roll. Tee higher to get a higher flight with softer landing when required.. hope this helps. | |

| Thanks bros Asahi and acidic. I'm pretty much decided that I will get fitted for shaft. Only ques is whether to get 9.5 or 10.5 deg
If I add loft, the razr fit will be more closed face at address. Similarly if I reduce loft, the razr fit will be more open face. I prefer square club face at address.
Hence finding the right loft is impt.

| Just bought the driver from bro Pocketace on Friday and used it for two games already. on Saturday, I brought along my gamer, cobra s2 10.5 on stock stiff shaft and also the Razr Fit just in case I could not handle it.
Guess what? The s2 was used only once.
two words I would use to describe the Fit: forgiiiiiiiiiiiiivingy Looooooooooooooooooooooooong !
I highly recommend this driver. Easy to hit and definitely a 10 to 20m gain compared to my cobra.
By the way, the specs are: 9.5 and stock shaft: regular RIP'd NV 60g.
I don't think I will be changing the shaft anytime soon as the current setup is going great for me.
no regrets buying this driver and bro Pocketace took care of it really well. It was definitely in mint condition. I wonder why he wanted to sell it in the first place.......
