| Any thoughts? Ping G20 or Titleist 910D2, in terms of getting the ball in the middle of the fairway? Dispersion ahead of distance. | |

| I have tried both.. think G20 feels a lot more forgiving than D2 but G20 got this hollow feeling compared to D2 which sounds like a monster | |

| Techno, see witb of mine and Duval's. Last time he hit 13 fairways, I hit 11. So not bad lah...
and it's $250 cheaper | |

| I think G20 is more forgiving (the reason why it's in the bag) and I agree about the sound... it's a bit hollow.. | |

| Haha, thanks for the replies, folks. But if it's the 909, isn't the 909Dcomp better? | |

the sound of the Dcomp is not like Titleist sound, less shiok. Plus it launches a bit higher than D2.

| Tried both ... my vote for forgiveness definitely goes to the G20. However, both manufacturers have pretty regular demo days, why don't you go try for yourself? | |

| I think there's a Titleist demo happening at MBGC tomorrow from 6-9pm. Tried the 910 D2 - Love the feeling when the club hits the ball on impact, absolutely solid. Makes me think my driver is like a kiddy toy now . And I like the fact that I can feel the weight of the club when I swing it (I have a tendency to over-swing the driver shot and end up slicing bad...) | |

| TS, my advice is to spend the money for getting another driver on lessons. | |

swing change or equipment change? For Jason's case, I think he has enough equipment changes to know that its not the equipment that will help him find fairways or tighten dispersion. Getting a new driver is more of a retail therapy, but the cold hard truth is that its better to spend the money on getting lessons to fix the errant swing and not the perfectly fine 1yr old driver.

| Quote from Frank Thomas: Golf Digest's Chief Technical Advisor (used to be with USGA Technical Area) "Be honest. What you really need is a swing change. But what you really want is a new driver. Or a sand wedge. Or a putter. And you want it so much, you're not merely dropping hints to anyone who'll listen, you're tearing out catalog pages and leaving them on the living room coffee table" | |

Says the equipment slut But I never buy a equipment because its more forgiving or longer or whatever marketing hype. I just buy because its retail therapy. And to justify what I wrote above, I am still having lessons. Have 2 lessons this week.

| Oh yes, it's all about retail therapy. I only have that many shoes so I need my own form of release (shopping-wise, that is).
Eiji, how you are able to find the time to juggle lessons, golf games and a baby boy is beyond me. You are amazing.

You are amazing. http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/ I don't work 4 hours a week, but I sure as hell don't sit in the office for the sake of being there. I didn't play any games over the last few weekends, family came first. Lessons for me start at 7pm, so I get enough time to settle work relate matters.
