Tanglin Golf Course

Hi Guys,

Just a short note to let you guys know that Tanglin Golf Course has been reconfigured to a 6 hole layout and will be open from 6th Feb.

No PC or Handicap or anything required, just try not to kill anybody ...

What are the new rates?

Rack Rate will be $16 for 1 round of 6 holes on weekdays and $20 on weekends

Well, the fairways are cow grass, but the greens are Joycea and will be trimmed and rolled for a decent putting experience.

Wow longer than last time, this is great! Can finally bring 3 clubs instead of 2 .

Anything done to upgrade the tee-boxes? They were horrible last time when my kids played there.

Tee boxes have been refurbished.

We are also looking at installing tee boxes with artificial turf (like those used for FIFA football pitches), however, they will not be installed by 6th Feb.

How then a tee be placed into the artificial turf?

There is a layer of sand and an environmentally friendly rubber like substance that fills up the space between the blades of artificial turf. You stick the tee into it just as you would normal ground.

This course will be great for kids and adults for practice.

Hope my kids can Par a few holes on the 18th Feb!

Derek, are there any plans to organise some junior tournaments there? My kids would love to take part.

Hi all,

We will definitely be organizing Junior tournaments there every school holidays. The first one will be scheduled during the March School holidays, probably during a Sunday afternoon.

Format to be advised. Will keep all posted.
