Paypal only warranty the items ship out, not the content. I have a friend buying from internet end up receiving junk. He try to claim back the money from Paypal but fail. This is a loophole.

I think your friend is mistaken. Paypal ensures that the item which you buy matches its description (which means the content). So, if you buy a DVD but get a pirated copy, Paypal will investigate and refund you the money. Similarly, if you buy a golf club but get a fake, Paypal should also refund.

I suppose you should only buy from reputable vendors from the USA that categorically say "All of our products are 100% authentic" or something to that effect. As always, use protection, ie PayPal.

Both my SC putters were from eBay (one to two years ago) and checked out ok (using this guide). Including shipping, saved about S$80 on each club compared to local prices. Not sure about current prices but you have to decide if it will be a large enough margin to risk.

Cheers.

If SC that I receive is fake, can I get it return?

Where can I get it check?

Bring it to a club fitter you trust. I know that Eric at big fish has a collection of SCs, so he should be able to tell you if it's real.

for SC putter, there is always a shortage of supplies especially for the 33 and 34 inch putters. if the price is too cheap, be careful, if its not fake its probably slightly used.

GR forumers please feel free to bring in your putters for authentification.

I am happy if purchased from the net is safe. He has a blog talking about this http://imusic-scam.blogspot.com/. Maybe the case is different. I am hesitant to buy from web after hearing from him. If the brothers here have good experiences, it will open up a new channel of purchase for me.

I am sure DGMan and I can help you overcome some of these difficulties.

I'm a hick from the Midwest so if any of the US sellers give me (you) grief we'll visit him with the infamous "55 gallon drum of Whoop Ass" to persuade him to see the light!!

Frankly, I wouldn't deal with the guy simply because he played the "race" card. There's too many good deals out there being offered by normal folkls. No need to focus on one seller.

Cheers, KT
