THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) -- K.J. Choi and Tiger Woods did most of their work before the wind arrived Thursday at the Chevron World Challenge.

Choi birdied his opening five holes at Sherwood Country Club, then held on in gusts up to 30 mph for a 6-under 66 that gave him a three-shot lead over Woods and Steve Stricker at the final official tournament in America this year.

Perhaps it's no surprise that the top three players all dealt with the wind at The Presidents Cup in Australia. For Choi, he has become used to such conditions after moving to Dallas.

Only three other players managed to break par.

Woods, the tournament host, birdied four of his first five holes and looked as good as he did during a two-week swing Down Under.

So TW is playing well as reported above. What about KJ? He leads by 3 strokes. Didn't he played even better? Such hoo har reporting are, IMO, biased reporting without due respect to the tournament leader.

Bro, I am not affected. But give credit when it's due. I am a fan of TW. What I am asking is fairness and KJ played above himself.

Golf TV or other forms of media coverage is still dominated by the americans or the europeans. If you observe, more often than not, the tv camera will not be on an Asian player even he is on the top. Instead, they prefer to give coverage to a westerner who is not even in contention. just look at the recently concluded singapore Barclay's open. Fillipino Pangusan was all the time on the top 10 position, but enjoy little coverage, whereas camilio,Else, goosen
Michelson enjoys plenty of coverage. Probably the big names sells, so more air time ads, thus the reason for doing so.

I don't think duffy posted his comment as a view against you, it was just a comment.

If you read/re-read the comment more objectively or just read the comment without regarding yourself as the original starter of this thread, i think you might view it differently.

I can understand there's not going to be fair reporting from the media and there will be favourite players they like to cover. IMHO, credit should be given when due, regardless of whether he's the host. I am a great TW fan ok. And I want him to win but he has to earn it. Our wish will not make him win tournaments.

Not against anyone.... its just a comment. Thought you were affected by the report but since you are not affected like you have mention... then i think it should be ok mah...

I think if its in a korean media, the coverage might be different that what its reported elsewhere.
