Personally, 1K is a lot to invest (just for irons). If I were u, I'll go for a 2nd hand set to practice. After 1.5 years into golf, I'm gaming a set of Mizuno blades. Depends on what you believe in. For me, I believe in "playing to the irons". Yes blades are the most unforgiving, however if I can handle it well, I know that my basics and fundamentals are somewhere there. The most important thing is to practice and practice and practice.... Never give up.
Good luck bro! Just for a gauge, i got my 2nd hand burners for 350. Thats like 1/3 of a new set.

- Tks bro.
Hm... I tend to have a very high launch, I heard that Burner 2.0 has a high launch. I'm not sure will i get some gain in distance if I choose a set that has no enhancement for the launch. I think there is something wrong in my swing, i ball flies also quite high even using my 5 iron but distance wise, my 5 iron could never reach 150m mark..... that s y im wonder could i gain some distance by using another iron set =) Hi David, 1) what iron are you using now? 2) if its ping, TM, titleist, adam etc then the club is ok, i tried Gosen (Jap) and due to my swing its hopeless, after i change to ping i saw some light and till today. 3) the ball fly too high and no distance could be your swing lifting the ball and not sweeping the ball especially 5 iron its sweeping and not lifting some pro call it "hooking the ball". 4) you could be gripping and swinging too hard where your muscle pull too much causing contraction and therefore "chicken wings", topping the ball and wasting too much effort and strength but not getting the result you expect. 5) this is very commonly seen in ranges. recently i adopted new method of swing "Easy swing" and i am driving as far with less effort. and this works for all clubs especially woods. 6) go to web and "you tube" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7wxfGjtdEU&feature=related. you will be watching "PeakPerformanceGolf" they have numerous golf tips and i find it useful. my driver use to drive 160-170, but now i am driving 190-210, i bought hybrid and 3 woods but none works and sitting there for a year, now hybrid going to 170-190 and 3 woods up to 200. their tips is easy and fast to pick up try it before deciding the irons. my 5 irons is somewhere 150-160 by the way after trying the tips. HAPPY GOLFING.

| Im using a Powerbilt Grand Slam, which i bought 4 yrs ago. I learnt 4 yrs ago and then stop playing after a yr bcoz i got to take care of my newborn. I try to pick up again now.
My drive is not very gd, same distanec as my 3 wood, about 180m only. I think i need more practice.
Tks for your tips. I will try that out these few days =)
