TM Burner Plus or Cobra S2 Max or Nike VR Full Cavity Iron set???

Hi Guys,

Am thinking of getting Iron set but am confused over so many offer and models...have zoom down to the three as suject mentioned....any experts can give some comments on which set is better?

I'm 1.76m and weight 80+kg.....thanks.

Confused Newbie.....

Based on what criteria did you zoom down to the three? Looks? Feel? Price? Brand?

hi guys, thanks for input...so far i have tried S2 Max and Nike VR full cavity but have not try TM BP....I like TM Driver and are using TM Tour Burner Driver, 10.5.....price wise, these 3 are rather close to each other...very confused....

Have tried the S2 Max Iron on Steel and Nike VR full cavity on Graphite....Nike is on sale now...Graphite set for S$540...4-PW, TM Burner Plus and Cobra S2 Max from TGW.com is U$599.99 (TM, Graphite) and U$499.00 (S2 Max, Steel) both come with 3H, 4H, 5-PW.

So cannot make up my mind....

Both S2 Max and Nike VR full Cavity to me is ok...S2 is heavier as it is steel and Nike is lighter...distance wise...not much of difference to me...

Nike Machspeed is more in line as a SGI(super game improvement) irons like the Burner Plus and S2 Max

still a newbie to golf and will really appreciate all shifu comments or recommendation...cheers!

I would also consider Bridgestone j36 - pocket cavity or combo. They are mighty good and well made set of clubs. They are reasonably priced as well.

Mizuno MX series are quite good too !

yeah i don't mind bringing it down, but got to let me know in advance, as it is i am carrying one golf bag + a lot of spare clubs in my boot.

The MX200 is a good set of irons, can consider man!

If want to get Nike VR series iron, get the VR Split Cavity Forged instead, its better in my opinion in terms of feel and value.

Hi guys, thanks for all the recommendation....to make things easier for me...can we restrict to the 3 choices as if not....i will really have a big headache...so many brands and so many models to choose from......it's really a maze out there!!!

here are 2 things that can help you solve your headache.

1. Go to the shops and look at the sets, put in into your hands and even better if the shop has a hitting area for you to try the clubs.

2. GO the Starry Starry nite, meet fellow Grians and ask nicely if they can let you try their clubs.

ya, go down to the weekly starry starry nite to test out ppl's clubs to have a feel. That's the best bet u can have before purchasing.

In fact if this is your first set of irons, just get a reputable set can liao. In most case, a golfer will buy a second set after he's more comfortable with the game and that's where you really know what you want. So dun be too headache over your first set. Even getting a second hand set is also fine and it'll save you some good money.

Just my own opinion lah...

jus to clarify...nike VR full cavity is on sale at Ubi Ave 3....don't remember the shop name though....cheers!

I personally dun like the full cavity ones. Good deal or not I dunno leh... Last time the VR blade and VR Split Cavity sale at $680 only. But now hard to find at this price, I think...

bro, if u intend to spend $540 on the nike full cavity, i rather u top up abit more to go for bro eiji's Mizuno mx200. it's a much better irons, forged, better feel and also better value. U go try out during one of this meetup lor. Ask him to give u some discount lor... dun quote me hor...keke..
