| I'm rather short and I was recently given a 35" putter.
Is it ok for me to cut down the putter to possibly 30-31"? Based on my estimate, that is the length that I should be looking at.
Will that in any way affect how the putter performs?

| if your putter is too long, you will not be a natural flow motion position.
the elbow will probably be too hinged, the aiming position will be compromised and your release stroked may fee like its "choked".
simply put..... if you are not looking to gain advantage on the "putter length" give, visit a club fitter to have it adjusted.

| if i were to choke it down.. the top end of the putter end up on my belly.. hahahahhahaha it becomes a belly putter!!!!!.. hahahahahhaha
I was told to get the shaft cut down my 5" or so.. just wondering if cutting it by that much will change the original performance of the putter..

| What performance are you concern with specifically? My sense is get it cut to suit your putting stance and worry abt the little things later. Have fun! | |

| Not really performance.. i mean.. if the weight and angle was originally made for a 35".. if I were to cut it down by 5", will it change the weight distribution, angle, etc? | |

Of course. The Laws of physics must exist mah. If the putter is given to you liao, just do whatever you want with it lor, add lead tapes, get heavier grip, bend the lie etc. What damage can you do really to a piece of metal. Dun worry lah.

see u later... Boss, not 24/7 lah. The range is open from 7-10 pm only. :p Also, need another favour from u, can let your team know about the project second chance drop off? I went down earlier, but din manage to pick up the donations As the staff din know about any drop offs. If it is possible, can Help me masking tape it and label gr project 2nd chance ? Trouble is that I alway go keppel early morning before bfg is open. Thank you! Then I saw the bfg demo irons, but wasted no bfg staff there to authorize me to take it out for a swing.

| DGman.. nice meeting u earlier.. such a simple job of cutting down my putter.. but u went thru' the process with great patience and great details.. despite you being bizzi with another client and having to rush off to Sentosa. Really appreciate it man.
And really nice place u got there.. nice and cosy.. even after my putter was done.. i feel like hanging around still.. hahahahhahaha

| i went out for an oxygen check and you were gone. the "customer" is Martin Rominger and he is on his way to 2nd stage PGA Q-School. looks like he is going to be in a tough group with the likes of David Duval, Alex Cejka, Brent Geiberger, Jason Gore, Bob May, Noh Seung-Yul, Chris Riley, Duffy Waldorf, Ted Oh and many others.
anytime, its a pleasure helping golfers to learn more about putting and finding the right equipment. told you not to try those black putters..haha
hope to see you again.

Nrafee...just ask Low or Mas when you are there in the morning to have a swing of the clubs.
