| This is one monster of a club, just bought it today off GR'er shaun and what a crackin club...instantly saw my violent slices tamed, had a higher than preferred trajectory (is a 10.5 loft with reg flex so expected that) but carried over 200m on a simple, relaxed swing and giving it all i have on my next swing, i nearly carried the end fence at Laguna driving range with a movement of no more than mayb 5m right (very slight fade)...Shaun witnessed that one, in case not quite believable lol so anyways, all in all, am pretty amazed by the club, and OH yes, it DOES have an odd impact sound, when i hit that first one it sounded like a weird contact, expected to look up and see it going straight into the ground but obviously not the case. So other than the sound it makes, i'm pretty amazed by this club and expet to be tearing up more fairways soon. Will keep updated in this thread any developments with the driver (like perhaps this is just the honeymoon period, God forbid, it could go south after a while, but here's hoping...)
If anybody else has experienced the Square, do leave your comments, +ve or -ve...peace...

| Never used one, but whenever i'm at the range and someone starts using a nike driver, i'll sit down and take a break. The loud piercing sound they make on impact is simply too distracting. | |

| I used the 5900 square head for a while. I didn't play well with it but admittedly, I don't think I was hitting it well. I found it forgiving but somehow, wasn't as consistent as I'd liked. So, it found its way into my Dad's bag While I sliced the ball with this club too, I don't think it had anything to do with the club. On the contrary, it was my swing. My Dad likes the club a bit (save for the sound). It's pretty accurate for him and distance-wise, it's pretty good too! | |

| cool cool but be warned, i've only range-tested it so far, will b playing on tuesday and will review the course effectiveness of the club after that round but from whatever i saw today, yeah, it's gotta be the easiest driver to hit straight and clean, not great for shaping shots but a solid fairway finder...hope it proves itself on course too...wil let yall know...peace... | |

| 2 nights ago a young man was hitting a SQ2 in the bay in front of me, it was so piercing i could even hear it over Nickelback's "Gotta Be Somebody" playing loudly on my headset.
I had good experience with my previous square driver FTi as well, except it didn't fly as far as i would like - max 220 m, average 210 m. If i miss the sweet spot, it'll go only around 180 to 200 m. But on the whole, much straighter.

| i might wear ear muffs to protect my ear drums when i drive...but then bystanders may have odd reservations about playing with me lol! but it's true, i'm sure i felt that high-pitched whine of an inner-ear hair dying on one of my swings the other day but OH the ball-flight...so pretty... | |

| SO it's finally been course-tested. I had a few mis hits with the square, but all in all, i played 96 today (first time below 100), hit most fairways, drove the ball 270m longest drive, was GIR on around 5/6 holes and tamed violent slices, still had fades but controllable ones.
great day on the course, am stoked and hope to continue the game-improvement...

yeah, no jokes. I had a couple GR'ers I was playing with so can't bs about it...i did have one drive that was about 295-300m but that one caught a lucky bounce off a buggy path so I wouldn't quote that one but this 270m drive at the par 5 was pure.

| i know, i got so many GIR even today but couldn't putt for birdies...and my mid-short irons were not bad but for some reason, Par 3's, i screwed up big time and topped balls into the water, ending up with unnecessary double and triple bogeys. But i must be patient, breaking 100 in 8 months of playing the game for the first time and 4 weeks after my first actual lesson with a pro is not too bad. Just gotta keep at it and I definitely intend to. | |

| 270m!!!!!! mine is 170m but just as loud getting use to the mid-size grip, a bit to big, may regrip with normal grip + extra tape, (SW all screw up). No more blisters but cannot swing to hit. even dented my Sumo2 when i hit down onto the ball. anyway my shaft to stiff (US stiff). I more used to Asian stiff (in between Asian stiff and regular). I got problem with the shallow face though....i always miss up or down | |
