| Can someone help me? How old is NIKE SUMO2 5900 ? Anybody here using it & how does it perform? How is the sound? And lastly, what is the current price now? Many thanks in advance ! Thinking of getting 1 for practice purposes. | |

| Quite a good club to play. Forgiving. Long, but not superlong. Sounds quite loud too (some say it's like hitting an empty milo tin). Otherwise, not a bad driver to play. You may not be comfortable with the square head and it may take some getting used to. | |

| I am using a 10.5. I purchased with original Mitsuibishi Rayon R Flex shaft and it didn't work so well hence I replace it with Graman 4 shaft. This is my 8th driver and I should say I have the best fairway hit rate with it. Distance..so so..nothing spectacular but y drive so far and go OB or hazard? The sound...hmm...off the course is fine bcos it's "open" but I avoid practicing at range...it's ear ringingggggg..fortunately the tone is better than the first Sumo. As for how old..hmm...about 1~2 years lo...now is into the DYMO2 era already.. Price..sorry I dunno..anyway hard to find already..phased out by DYMO2. I suppose it will cost <$200/ if u chance upon 1. Oh btw if u slice a lot..dun expect it as a medicine, it helps but it doesnt stop slice due to swing problem. Anyway the review on DYMO2 is much better than the SUMO2.....maybe u wanna consider? Think it's <$400 now ... | |

| just got my 8.5 Sumo 5900.
Sound - very distinctive THUUNG!!!!! vs my old BB460 PINNNG!!!!! If you hit it hard, it will be the loudest driver in the range...in a bad way. At least the BB460 sound is shiok even if its loud.
Distance - but the distance is quite good. Reach from other forums, the 5900 loft is weaker than stated (my 8.5 is closer to 9.5. 9.5 closer to 10) so may want to get a lower loft (better double check this info)
Dispersion- definitely can slice, not the outside-in swing slice but the open face slice.
Ease of use - the face is shallow, so need to get use to it, adjust the tee lower. I keep hitting the top the first time i use.
Cost - can by from ebay SG for $150 or from the shops at Far East SC ($250 for the Diamana BB shaft but not sure got any left...saw a few Sumo 5000 though)
Lukewa got very good deals for the Dymo drivers. can check him out
The 'newer' Sumo2 Tour (TP version of the Sumo 5900) is the higher performance of the two square driver but still quite exp now. | |

| Had one with diamana blue board (very nice combination & smooth). distance wise not just far as taylormade(maybe 10-15m) but very forgiving, good feel and confident. Hardly miss fairway even mishit. | |

| Thanks all for the positive & negative review. Really appreciate! I guess, I will give this a miss reasons I cannot tahan the distintive Thuunng sound. How to practise like that? Everybody will give you 1 kind of look. hehe . I still love King Cobra S9-1, anybody selling a used set ? | |
