| What shot do you fear the most? Here's a list by short game guru Dave Pelz:
Down slope swings Downhill putt, long lag Downhill, break left to right putt Against the wall Deep grass Hard pan lies Long Iron Shot Grassy lie Ball above feet High lip sand shot 100 yard wedge shot from a wet lie Sand trap shot 3 to 5 ft putt for birdie Simple chips and pitches First tee nerves Curve around trees Downhill in the sand Buried lies in sand Forced carry tee shot Tight liePar 3 over the water Ball below feet High soft lob Quick up and over

So any lies or conditions the ball is in, I just step up to it, try to think of a reasonable way to play it, then execute. If didn't pull it off, i just shrugged & tell myself, " Nvm, just 1 more bad shot to add to the millions I had." u macam resident pro

| Actually most of the time i just go to the ball deciding what to do, i'll pull something off. But if i step over the ball thinking, adjusting stance grip etc haha. I think mentally set up for failure | |

If there is a shot that u fear, practice until its like licking your chops. But there's no way at SG Driving Range to practice things like sidehill lies, uphill/downhill lies, fairway bunkers. I believe in US the ranges have facilities for these... sigh..

Nowadays, I don range ...instead play Mystery golf....ie donno what score or swing till reach 1st hole

| UL: TMCC Charity didn't used the Chillipadi and Big Bawang thingy ???Dun think so, UL. The overall champion at the Bushnell Charity (in benefit of Eden School--again?) event has an official handicap of 5.3 (pro level) but hits his six iron only 140 meters. However, he has a killer short game. (Maybe there is a lesson knowing this for all of us hacker here on the forum?) It was a System 36 tourny. Only offered chicken rice for pre-game lunch! I must have lost four brand new Pro V1 balls s in water, woods or deeply plugged into the soggy fairways. I hope it does not rain for the Acushnet-Titleist media game at TMCC-Garden this Weds. Maybe Acushnet will re-supply me next Weds with free new balls to replace the ones I lost last Friday. CK | |

It's barely worth the benefits.
In fact, I may be changing jobs soon (non-golf related media).

| MM: Not bad if no bills to pay, lah!
Me get less than half the pay as when I was managing editor of PC World Singapore & Malaysia and HardwareMag (HWM) about 8 years ago.
Older I get, the less pay I get!
