Just for the record JGCC is not an easy course to play plus its walking. No stamina .... die

Hello SG Team players and JB Team Players!

Thank you for making this outing a successful one!!!

The weather was sunny (maybe a little bit on the hot side, but at least it did not rain).
Team SG was decked out in their assortment of reds while Team JB countered with our Black shirts.

Everyone was at the clubhouse even before breakfast was ready. But nevertheless, spirits were high and all of us were excited about the impending battles.

Some confusion on the tee box as the marshal was overwhelmed by the sheer size of the two platoons but the two teams were very helpful and patient and things soon got under way.

Both teams sent out their big bombers on the starting flights and the "wows and oohs" were heard when booming drives were shot down the fairways.

There were a mixture of intense and relaxed battles but all in all, new friendships were found and old bonds were strengthened.

I, personally, felt that the FUN objective was achieved and I thank all participants for their presence and their contribution to making this a memorable golfing day!!!

Let's plan for the next battle! There's been murmurs about playing either in SG or JB horizon Hills. Team JB is excited about it. Please let us know!

Actually I feel that Team SG would have performed better if it was not held at RJCC.

As this is a walking commando course with a lot of uphill and downhill traversing, people who are not used to walking 18 holes will be overwhelmed by it. Being fit is definitely a pre-requisite to playing good golf in RJCC. I am actually quite impressed by Aloyboy's game in such conditions. It was also a very hot day today and energy gets zapped up fast if u do not know how to handle the heat.

Aloyboy had a birdie and was playing great golf! But alas, the heat and the walking got to him, yet he still plodded along and played respectable scores for most holes.

Aloyboy, wanna arrange another RJCC game and challenge yourself one more time? Now that u have played it already, I believe that your second round here will not be as overwhelming.

Let me know if you want another game.

Bro Den... Thank you for the arrangement.. I believe all of us enjoy somehow on the games... though we lost all the match,... you guys had a good team..all the sg players plays under stress! ZX was one. haha.. saw his ball drive from T-1 to behind the green of H9 green.. how it happen.....anyway... its good outing for the day...congrats to your team and the various winners...we will be back again sometime..

It was a hot day today. Our first nine was pretty humid but thank goodness the back nine was windier. As I have not played there for quiet sometime thought I'll get cramps but I was surprised that I managed to last the 18 holes.

On the way home was chatting with TFP regarding the game and it got me thinking that today's game was not a Ryder Cup Format as was planned. Eg. Some holes where we have stroke, I scored a bogey and our opponent scored a bogey & bogey respectively and ZX scored a triple bogey we lost that hole. If it was a Ryder Cup Format we would have won the hole. If I remember correctly the Ryder Cup Format was based on best score The other player's score is not taken in consideration. The format today IMO is good for golfers of the same standard so the second player's score is important but our team, most of us are average players. We would have lost our team game but we at least would not be walloped that badly. Hahahahha.....

The above comment is just a suggestion that in future the games could be played based on best score.
