my hcp is 20, but I only submit good scores, so now it's 15.8

This is not a GR official event. It was supposed to be a friendly match and not a tournament. I don't see why there should be any trophy.

Can the moderators please comment on this issue. Thanks.

I dun see any issue with trophy, its something which is privately organised and don't represent the forum in any manner, just like the lo-hei game, a privately organised game of friendly competition.

That is exactly my point TFP. Its for fun and getting to know other golfers and a friendly match with them but once you have a prize presentation it becomes a tournament. So IMO we should not have it.

Mloy, but most tournaments are held in the name of fun anyway, aren't they not? I've never participated in a SERIOUS tournament before... Most of the time, even during PGA tournaments, everyone is out to have fun doing what they love.. i don't think we're any different? are we?

Great to see such friendly game btw GR and JB teams. Hope you guys have great fun on 16th Oct.

TFP and Mloy both have made valid points on the Trophy. Let's not do any GR trophy for this match, GR has 2 charity games in June and Dec so let's plan the GR trophy for the coming dec game.

Aloy, we still can go ahead with the ryder cup style format of playing but there should not be any trophy. Maybe the losing team buy beer or drinks for the other team.

Klt please don't anyhow say ah. I never and will not ever put my handicap as 30 when its 24.3. So please be careful what you say. Not everybody in this forum may know that you are joking.

Clarification: the trophy that I am bring out does not involve or represent GR in any terms.
It was a trophy meant for a "Ryder cup" that was left after a few draws between 2 teams during the year 2008, 2010.
If there is such need for it, will keep it for the future use.
