Why are clubs cheaper online? and how can some sites offer them at such low prices u ask? well.. if you know the profit margins these companies are making, it won't be a surprise to you at all. in fact, it'll be hard to buy clubs are full retail price once u know how much they're making off you.

Club manufacturers comes up with a new model every yr. and wat happens to their old models? they go on sale.. 40-50%.. sometimes even up to 70%. and guess what? they'll still make a profit.

in the states, most golf stores have a 30-90day return/exchange policy. dun like them after 3 months.. return them and exchange them for something else. they clean them up and sell them at half price. no questions asked. and they'd even take em back in any condition.

IMHO .. i find the the reason why Jap clubs are more ex is cos of the materials they use. mizuno has a reputation for using the best metal in the biz. maybe the miura fans won't agree.. but.. i'm pro mizuno.. so i dun really care what miura owners think Razz

Miura against mizuno? Thats a different ball game together bro. If you can afford a Miura, most probably you wont be seeking anybody's opinion coz you already have deep pockets.. dun like one miura buy another model 2 mths later...

Typically, when your pocket is not deep enough, you will go around asking for advise coz you dun wanna end up being a sucker.. but then again, buying clubs in Singapore is hard not to be one...

Hahaha. i agree bro! Smile

Finally went far east shopping ctr to do a walk walk. Found out that place is no longer in its formal glory. Limited number of golf shops now only on the 2nd floor and prices not fantastic and good used set limited. I wonder where was the excitement created at that place years ago.

Anyway found 2 shops selling the JPX-800 blue with MI-100 graphite shaft. One quoted 1200 (not tour spec) and another 30% off 1900. Both have serial number on No.7. For NSPro 950 shaft, its 1150.

These irons really worth 1200?

Whether they are worth $1200, only you know....

If you can afford it, then its worth the buck, if not, get a used set 3-4 mths down the road for 50-60% of the price.

Hey!

Anyone tried buying from Golf.com before? I looked at their JPX800HD Iron Set. After conversion from USD it cost about $1,300 inclusive of shipping?

Can I assume its a reliable website?

I went to MST golf yesterday to look again. The JPX I wanted is the Black faced "JPX-800 Forged" with the graphite MI-100 shaft. List price is $2100.

Am waiting for the GD sale this/next week to see if this model is available!
