Subject: Mizuno MP 57 vs the MP 58? Thu Oct 22, 2009 5:23 pm
Anyone has had the good fortune to play both these models and care to comment?
Saw the MP 58s at Golf House earlier, and they look sweeter than in the pictures. In real life, not so busy looking with all those linese. Of course the MP 57's have a cleaner profile all round. Spoke to the club fitter there asking his opinions on both these clubs, but would like to hear what equipment junkies here have to say. Even if haven't played both, mizzy owners please comment.

well i've not tried them out but i'll make a guess as to how they'd feel.
i think compared to the 57s the 58s would have less feel just because they have that new DUAL MUSCLE TITANIUM technology where a piece of titanium is forged into the outer muscle of the iron. just the multiple materials alone is enough to put the 57s ahead in terms of feel.
BUT i personally prefer the look of the 58s with the thinner sole and smaller head size and that for me is enough to buy me over.
either way, both are badass clubs but if my money's going anywhere it's to the mp68s!

I am curious as well... Is there any 58 demo set in GH?

Sure got one, I didn't have time to try though.
What little comments I have come across on other forums were more guesses based on looks than anything else. I did my own guessing as well, thinking the 57s would be more forgiving with the cavity and the the 58s less so with it's blade like looks.
I will post later tonite wat the fitter told me based on his trial of both clubs.
Now must go and eat dinner with ger ger first.....

Looking at the mizuno website, the MP58 seems to meant for low handicap players, while the 57 is for mid handicappers..
