| am currently in Bangkok and visited Thaniya. It's my 4th visit now. Bought some T-shirts and pants which are pretty cheap. If you come from a duty-free country, forget about buying equipment there cause they have to pay duty plus VAT (GST).
Saw a 2nd hand Yamaha Classic driver which the guy wanted THB19,000 equv to about S$780. Very tempted so I called to MST Golf in SG. New driver only cost about $970......
So that's comparison for you... Cheers

| Just return from a trip to Thaniya Plaza. It's a OMG feeling when I stepped past the door. Kanna poisoned and spent quite some bahts on accessories (of course silicon belts here are sooooooo much more affordable and spoiled for choices...) | |

| Whoever was thinking of getting the customised golf shoes at Iron fox shop at Thaniya Plaza, you will be disappointed. Apparently the factory closed and the shop is like other shop selling golf accessories. Fyi | |

| Is Thaniya really that much cheaper compared to online or Paragon after all that discounts?
Was there earlier this month and nothing to fancy.. perhaps I went to the wrong part of Thaniya..

| This is my experience with this place...
If you are looking for great bargain in clubs,,, look else where as I found even used club (JDM) was commanding prem. It true i am bit generalizing here as I did not stop by every shops but few stores I stopped by do not seem to offer true bargain/s. In a way this make sense as most item are imported so it should command premium.
Unique items: I seen some items (golf accessories) that not offered by anywhere else and if you are looking for unique golf related stuff, its def worth the trip while you are in Bangkok.
Items that made in Thailand, that seem to offer some value, golf club cover, belts and clothing (not sure how well these are made)
Overall Its def worth trip, as this was probably biggest golf mall i ever seen, but go there with open minded other wise you might be disappointed with visit

| Thaniya used to feature a lot more exotic stuff / hard to find golf clubs some 6 to 8 years back, and at reasonable prices too. The place is now all commercialised with main street stores / retailers so less chance of getting exotic / rare clubs....
Only place that interest me is the Scotty Circle T shop (if it is still there)

| Last 2 trips I went there, only things I managed to buy was a golf bag for my daughter and some cheap sleeves. There are a number of things that I don't see locally like Tad Moore putters, Bobby Grace putters and Oakley bags. Though I did see Oakley in Central Lad Phrao as well. Think that's about it as prices for the more standard items were similar to SG. | |

Only place that interest me is the Scotty Circle T shop (if it is still there) Last April when I was there, the Scotty Shop at level 2 closed down already, there is one more Scotty shop at Level 1 but much more on modern gears and a couple of Ltd Ed stuff. Didn't notice many Circle T putter / putter cover available.

| When there, there was nothing exciting.. you know... paragon had the stuff and the discounts and so on.
Nonetheless, Inthehole is correct.. they have some exotic things like tees and even TP mills putters.
Asked about the Scottys there and realized SG prices were better.. did not see many thai people there. where do they go now??

| I think it's worth a visit I concur with the guys above that prices aside, it's probably the biggest golf only mall I've see in Southeast Asia Eg having a standalone shop for Ryoma is really something Think of it as FESC but without maid agencies, mama shops and tailors | |
