| Hi all,
Just returned from a BKK getaway. For Scotty Cameron fans, be sure to check out:
Club Cameron Thailand 52 Thaniya Plaza Bld., 3rd Flr, Rm 302 Silom Rd., Suriyawong, Bangkok 10500 *nearest station: Sala Deng
The owner, Prin Saravaneeyaruk <prin1978 at gmail dot com>, is a TPGA Member and Golf Instructor who started his Cameron collection two years ago. His shop has a very decent collection of Scotties, head covers and accessories. Definitely worth a look-see if you are shopping for equipment and golf balls at Thaniya.
Enjoy. | |

| @shamusan True. I get the impression that he is doing it for pleasure. He was very laid back, not trying to sell me anything and happy to show me around the shop. Plus I'm pretty sure he is of retirement age. | |

| Just to piggy back on this thread. Any place with decent selection with affordable prices in Bkk? Happen to be at location and saw this thread. Be it accessories or SC putters? I am okay with pre owned items if the prices are right. TIA. | |

Generally, golf clubs are more expensive in Thailand. Quite a few of friends actually buy their clubs in Singapore. However, BKK has a good variety of accessories. Plaza Thaniya is a good place to start. If I do't have time to pop by Thaniya, I would go to Super Sports or Isetan to take a look. Accessories and clothes are worth looking at due to the extensive variety.

| not worth it to get golf clubs there...the taxes on imported sports equipment is higher in thailand. value for money would be to get the accessories. probably can try super sports like what simoner says...sometimes they have sale and the accessories are cheaper.
hard to find a shop there that can beat golf direct kinda pricing if that is what you are looking for...

| @angyongshen Also, Siam Paragon is worth a visit during sale and for wide variety of clothes and accessories. Agree with the others that golf clubs are cheaper in SG than BKK. | |

| Good tips, went to thanyin plaza. It was like paradise... left the place with a big hole in my pocket and handful of plastic bags. Went to the cct store at 3th level, nice owner and chat with him for some time. Got a grip and normal spare head cover at the end. I would think that it is more of a showcase over there, extensive amount of scottys... one of them priced at 325000baht... however there is another one with the twisty neck, head casted with all the various gem like stones, not useable and not for sale. Iirc. According to him, his nephew is a VIP with SC. When they go for conventions and meetings he would receive different gifts which are not for sale and top of line quality stuff which are in display case nearer to the counter. Anyway the cabretta grip master (putter-small) I got for 2000baht and head cover for 1900 baht, 2300 baht if you want the repair tool. I think pricing wise is normal, if not slightly above market. Those with special designs range from 5000 - 9000 baht per piece. Agreed with the statements on clubs over there. It is steeper there and bags as well. But the pro v1 and pro v1x are going for 1700ish baht. Which I thought was cheaper compare to sg pricing. But I gave it a miss, not at the level to lose expensive balls yet. Of cos there are other stuffs, but I will not bore you guys. Mainly accessories like covers, shirts, balls, etc Overall a great turning point for me for this "shopping" trip where all the stuff you see are girls stuff. Big thanks to everyone for pointing me to the right direction. | |
