| Not really a superb tip or a fanciful trick...
but..have you ever played on a course for the first time and you don't know the lay out because the stupid score card or information board is missing the layout?
Google Earth to the rescue. Just go take a look before you go and sketch/print your own course layout. You can even make your own measurements! | |

| do not forget the basic rule of golf. or golf's version of murphy's law.
you want the ball to go straight, it hooks and fades, left and right.
when you want the ball to draw and fade, it goes dead arrow straight.
We always aim to put the ball near or in the hole. How many times out of 10 have you managed to achieve your target perfectly? | |

| I think you need to be pretty hardcore to use G Earth to figure out distances of your golf course. Why not just use a rangefinder or GPS? | |

| i use it not really for distances but more to check what is behind the dog leg/trees and where are the hazards etc | |

wow sunny u r really hardcore.... next time must play golf with u... u shld know everything inside out of the courses... i more interested in distance n layout. (norm for my thai trip, so i can know wat clubs to bring) | |

Yes , can zoom in more for more detail .... can also draw lines from the tee box to the water edge to gauge the distance .... but cannot zoom in to see people swimming at the pool .... | |
