In the last 8 months, my spending has increase umpteen fold. Not I seems to have two of everything. As a move to rectify this. I have decided to cool off on the golf related purchases and spend more time and effort at womanising and drinking.
I think this course of action will get my wife to get off my back about the umpteen number of iron sets and putters I have purchased.
If this goes well, I might have to expand my property portfolio to accommodate the new relationships I am likely to make at these local night spots.

Further more, this course of action will help cross border relationships with China, Vietnam and who knows where else. I guess, I am fulfilling my responsibilities as a global ambassador for our little country.

NO! I don't feel bad about spending on Golf.

lol!

I view this via Einstein theory of relativity...hahahah...macam real.

But realistically, if don play golf, what possibly I ask myself where I can occupy myself?....sing song at nite, patronize beer garden....spent time analysing football teams....

So from relativitly standpoint, think playing golf is a safer and more sane optioin.....but again,,,,must maintain balance....

Actually, I agree. I think playing golf is a good distraction. It's better than some of the other vices out there but admittedly, it's not the best hobby either (the games can take a long time which means you're away from family).

But what other acceptable hobbies that allows you to mingle with old and new friends for 2 - 5 hours? Just one game and you can 'buddy buddy' with your flite mate.

If family want to join, even better, nothing beats the bonding of father and children who play together.

For those who can't tahan playing together with family, then I guess have to set aside 1 day to play with them and the other 6 days play with buddies. Laughing

For both games, I will be too busy thinking about how to sucker the other guys than to have a nice-get-to-know-each-other chit chat.
Razz

Btw I have never seen anyone commented "Good card" or "Good strategy" to other Bridge and Mahjong players as opposed to golf where we always make each other feels good by saying... "Good swing" or if the swing koyak we'll say "at least the ball is safe".

Few things in life can wrack the nerves or unsettle a golfer's concentration more than playing with the spouse, IMHO.

I get blamed for all of her bad strokes!

Either I did not give her good advice or I did not tell her about hidden trouble spots on the fairway or bunkers....

I don't think it applies here... for better or for worse statement is to be applied to both parties... but in CK's case, it will ONLY be CK's fault for not giving good advise, etc. etc.

A local golf pro told me its a losing game no matter what you do on the course, especially if she is playing badly and it's 'that time of the month'--a lethal combination!

I would freak out if I was playing with her. Hit a good shot and she'll scold you for playing well. Hit a bad shot and she'll scold you for wasting time. Jialat... better just drive the buggy, and even then... there's a risk she'll scold you for driving badly.
