New Cobra S3 Pro Combo Irons @ BFG Keppel Club

These irons can be customised for length and lie adjustments plus we are now working with the new distributor for shafts options.

Everything's new so our request may take just a tad longer but they can ship to us one inch longer and with or without grips so that you can install your favorite grips in the new set and sized to the way you like it.

U guys should have seen kian's face earlier at keppel. Both of us was leaving to our respective night duties and while he was walking pass the bays at keppel driving range, he saw two balls at the bay, he walk back, took the S3 and shoot two shots... then he look at me.. shiok.... I am really amazed on the ease of these MBs.

Boss, I will decide once i get to hit the longer MB irons cos dun like the long CB irons look on setup.

Callaway had the extra grooves idea in their CC clubs 2nd quarter of last year already. I think Nike borrowed a page from them.

That said, I think 20XI sparks a major overhaul in their marketing campaign. Launch of a new Tour ball that spins less off driver hits and spins more on wedge shots (with chart data to back up their claim) plus new groove pattern in their 20XI wedges.

I have tested the Nike VR Pro Combos and blades back in Jan, albeit in an indoor simulator in US.

I must say Nike is going back to traditionalism. Their clubs are pretty ok in the feel department but somehow, they do not make them very user friendly. Their 3-5irons in the MBs are quite a throwback to the 80s and 90s where you need to be more precise in your ball striking. Very very small and knife sharp.

As for the combos, I owned the 1st gen pro combos that Nike came out with back in 2003-4 and I think there are similarities as well as some enhancement tweaks since then. (Forget the CCis and whatever disasters they came out with until now). Easier to hit and very playable.

Too bad that I have no chance to demo the new pro combo with X3X groove pattern

After you leave HCMC, i worried that my avatars can't meet your standards anymore.....

btw went to Keppel to try those combos instead of just looking at them. the feedback on impact is more than positive.

set up is also very square.

well, i tested the clubs today and i have to say, even tho i hate the brand cobra... this set is really making me change my mind... the mb is really sweet and forgiving for a mb...
