| use masking tape. No need impact tape. One roll of masking tape cost SGD$1 and can use fro 1 month. I am using it. Buying Impact tape is really a waste of money. | |

| Even with masking tape, you need a impact board of sorts? Where do I get those? | |

Agreed! You can also use white board marker to color the ball, don't need the whole ball, just the portion which the club head is expected to come into contact with.

| i read b4 from some article...... they recommend tht u put a small bowl or container of powder nearby... dip the side of the ball tht u wana hit into it.... u shld see some powder mark at the club face after impact.... all u need to do is to wipe it off after each hit... marking the ball with marker not so good, sometimes the stain might not go off completely off the face..... and powder is alot easier.. but haven try thou..... | |

Impact tape just sees whether u kana the sweet spot or not No need impact board. When you tape the face of the club, let some of it cover the sole of the club. Your sole will come in contact with the mat, after 1 hit, there will be colour stain on the masking tap and after 2-3 hits, the part of the sole that contacts the mat most often will wear out and expose the sole. This will show if you are striking at the toe / centre / heel.

| Use the marker or your ex-gerfren's lipstick. Mark a straight vertical line on the ball. Then Hit Hard, Look Up. You can see the mark on the club face. The angle of the line can also somewhat help determine what angle (like lie) you are coming in on impact. If straight vertical - bagus.. if not, maybe too flat, upright... Disclaimer: My own unscientific, unlearned way. | |
