Is it too cold to golf in Shanghai during CNY

Hi,

Seeking info from fellow golfers in Shanghai, how is the weather condition now, is it too cold to play during CNY period?

I'm here in Shanghai now. It's around 9C during daytime, and 2C during nite. Forecast that it'll get worst during CNY.

I don't even want to step outside to get food...

Yeah... with the wind-chill factor, said to get worse also during the new year... not somewhere you gonna want to be outdoor swinging your shaft... eh... clubs....

Thanks all, just my hands are itchy and never played golf in cold weather before :-)

If you want to play winter golf, you need to face the cold temps. Wear lots of layers and get winter golf gloves.
As long as there is no snow on the ground, most of the golf courses will be open.
In the northeast, we tee off temps will be in the mid 30s. When we finish, the temps will be below freezing.
It goes back to, how bad do you want to play?

Go try a 9h golf course called Hong Qiao Golf Club, i was in SHA this month and played there, it was cold, around 4degrees but if you wear thermal skins, can still play

Golf courses will open and its an experience to play in winter with the wind blowing and CO2 coming out from your mouth...
