NSRCC Par 3 Executive Course Gathering

I guess NSRCC is a club to benefit NSmen who have contributed to the nation during their formative years (willingly or unwillingly???) so certain privileges for them must be given. This is to allow them to enjoy country club facilities at an affordable rate.

Yes there is Sembawang Country Club but if you are a golfer, does playing in SCC appeal to you as much as NSRCC?

End of the day, there is choice. As much as most of my kakis are NSRCC members, I will just have to bite the bullet and pay when I wanna enjoy a round of golf with them.

had enough of the driving range, and was interested in joining as well ... but just checked up on google map , its too far away (from the Marina bay area) ... return taxi fare would probably cost double the green fees!

Actually you can take train, and if possible, do a car pool.

Taking train and bringing half set is not too bad - bring 1 hybrid (3 or 4), bring 5i, 7i, 9i, P and SW. Putter too. 5 balls, glove, shoes....

Google maps says MRT will take only 1 hr 49 mins one way

So the other option is taking the MRT or taxiing to someone nearby, and carpooling .. anyone?

From Raffles Place (where you stayed) to Tanah Merah MRT (for example) will only takes you around 20 minutes. If you want to take cab from Tanah Merah to NSRCC probably it'll cost your around 5$(maybe).

Anyone can confirm this ?

According to gothere.sg It's $6.20 if you flag the cab down at Tanah Merah Station at 3pm. Takes 10mins to get to NSRCC from there.

Raffles place to Tanah Merah its $1.37 by MRT and takes you 21mins. (10stops)
