why ppl like to watch tiger play....golf?

MAny had said...including pros that they like to watch TW plays golf.

I watch becos of expectation that he will win.


Is that the reason why for many too?

If I want to watch for incredible shot....then I think Phil is great.....eg. at the recent PGA tourney, KNS, he chip and run fm quite far thru very uneven terrain ...and roll near to hole

He just excites me.

Watch NBA: watch Michael Jordan , but history liao.

Watch PGA: See TW

hmm.....when Tiger battled Rocco at the US Open, Wall Street trading came to a halt apparently, according to a news report I read before.

Perhaps becoz of his icon as a 'hero' of sorts.

But seriously, the PGA tour does need him now, especially since the Euro Tour is catching up.

Euro Tour will be more watched if they just changed their commentators....

I agreed with all! Without Sir Eldrick, I think golf would be such a super interesting sport!!! He gave golf another level up to where it is now... Just hope that he can make a come back to push this sport up further...

People expect Tiger to pull out miraculous shots... and he often did. Shots which few can even dream off, he does in the blink of an eye.. or at least he used to.

That's why people watch him. That's why I watched him.

think he has gone down the 'consistency wins the game' road......though Phil was going to pick up after him pulling off crazy shots to win the Masters but he fell off...the other guys are just plain boring, most of them playing the percentages.

Now days Bubba is fun to watch cause of his crazy shot selections and booming drives...only he does not have Tiger nerves and control (before everybody found out is all an act)

All the positive things posted (pics or youtubes added) here echoed or cogently expressed my thoughts better than I can articulate.

This maybe a good thread to continue. Yes I'm 'excited' everytime Tiger plays or on the 'prowl' or hunt for his next major etc.

My question is why does Kaymer says 'Tiger deserves to be given more respect'?

I agree with you absolutely! Not many PRO (including top PROs) can execute amazing shots like TW.

I like to watch Tiger play because no matter what he tried to do to his swing, there is something about his swing that's so cool to watch. I guess it's that DNA that is in the swing, no matter which teacher he turned to, and how they overhaul his swing, it still has that Tigerish characteristics.

There are other players Charl Schwartzel, and Adam Scott, the angles they produce in executing the swing, it's just so beautiful.

Point is, all these players are great to watch to me, because they all have very beautiful swing.
