| Thanks to the TD asahi and all the others who made this outing great fun. Special thanks to my flight mates. @Pretty woman, thanks for the beers, but I don't really drink lah, especially in the afternoon heat. @Duval/Eiji... It was a close fight; I think we are all evenly matched. You guys were just unlucky to find some nasty bunkers and thankfully pretty woman helped carry many holes for our partnership! | |

| Finally got time to say my piece after all the accounting and billing. phew! This game must go down as the most anticipated game so far, with no disrespect to the regular GR games. It was finalized and started on 4 Jan (though murmurings of it started way back in mid 2010) and materialized only today. Quite a long wait for a game to take place and may I say, well worth the wait! Mainly because of the golfers we have here in this game; the gentlemanly behaviour despite all that keyboard thrash talking & loud screaming & the faith and trust you guys placed on me to put this game and dinner together. Without all of us, this event would not have been so well oiled (well, not totally coz Duval's talk with Colonel Weather was not 100% fruitful). hahahaha You guys rock & golf as well as you talk, or some say type. hehe | |

Hiaz...even so, still not enough. Missed 2 four footer with pins sitting on the apex. Absolutely hate that kind of pin position. Else would have taken them out liao.

Not steady lah. How to be when I constantly outdriven by the sweating man by a good 30-40 m. hmm.....now for my FR on our matchup. Vaguely remember I was still a bit blur blur at the 1st tee box and thru out the first nine. Was rather worried coz MC mentioned that the TD normally cannot golf as well as he can when organizing game. For a while, I bought that thinking and then went about trying to the do job of winning the matchup. But the 1st nine, was not really connecting with the greens and course as a whole. Thankfully, came thru it only one down. Then at the 10th tee box, one of the M&M casually said, "We all one up right? Not bad leh you all. Thot by now can makan you all liao." Wah lah......straightaway hot liao. Opened up the last can of asahi beer and started golfing and we began fighting back till we overturned the deficit and was up 2 holes by hole 15th. To the 16th, it was again all square. But come to the 17th, the female M who was enjoying the air-con for the most part decided to wake up and scored a par to win that hole. Then the rain came down on the 18th hole. Needless to say, in such condition, who should win the hole? Who else but the dripping MC! And so our matchup ended up all square. All in all, good fun and exciting matchup we had! Though the decibels could be a bit lower.

Anyway, can finally sleep sound tonight.....though my missed 2 foot putt on the last hole will surely haunt me in my dreams..... tks GF n PS for the game.. we are all guilty keyboard heroes la. we r all actually veri timid n shy people. hope to hv another game soon Congrats to Team Slinger....

Awesome fun and great company... Now I have to go to work to pay losses! Partner, thank you for the bus ride, no aircon but plenty of cool breeze along the way. With such birdies and pars from the chairman and shamusan duo, the only way to win would be playing birdies and eagles which unfortunately beyond the state of my current skill

| Was doing a lot of soul searching as to what is wrong with my game.....recently why do I keep having the gap between my opponents and myself ...getting larger and larger-est.
2 thoughts came to mind:
#1 Obviously there is a LOFT issue on my end #2 Nip it at the butt....I mite need to consider playing with opponent who plays to my std so as to close the gap.
So here goes...my pretty wordy post:
Thanks to all folks who made it to the game....Really a blast to see so many folks and with the buildup of TCSS.....the game did live up to the hype.
AND a bigger thank you to all bro/sista on GR who were not in the flight for the virtual cheer
My flt mate....Bro Eiji, first time game with you...thank you bro.....I was so worried that we will be 9 down with 9 to go......lucky (as what TSS always said)...that we can last till 16hole..who knows what will happen on 17th and 18th hole....we mite even draw the game....(ok ....blame me for wishful thinking).
My highly esteem opponent....SS and PW......you guys very berry good (and nope..this is not a backhand compliment). @ PW....you wood damm solid....@ SS: Donno what to say....you give me 5-5 , I also think I struggle to draw. But thanks for demo how to flop onto bunker...hahahah...si pek kelong !!!
LASTly, the forum is what we made it up to be. Games like this will help bonding, TCSS wil also help......To all on the forum, thank you ....for I wont be a SB if not for this forum.

| Many thanks to TD, Asahi for his time to organise such a great event.
Everything was well organised except rain came during the last part of the games.
Duffy, want to apologise for the poor golf that I played esp over the last 4 holes and lesson learnt is dun take for granted even if you are 4 up with 5 holes to go. (sounds like another repeat of Arsenal vs Newcastle
we just couldnt get the par that we need to square our opponents in the last 4 holes to win the match.
Well done to Mowen and Alvin who keep on pressing us till the last hole, last shot and last putt.
Despite all the disapoointment, i enjoyed myself and many thanks to all who participated and help to make this an enjoyable yet competitive event.

Poresia, good to have you have you as my teammate too. Like what you mention, we did not capitalize. Shouldn't have miss that birdie on the island green, if yes, then the game would have been over. THen again, Mowen was seriously off his usual standard. But we have seen Alvin7379's true potential after yesterday. This means that I must play level with him in future games....

Alvin is the dark horse who performed at the right time and only if required. no disrespect to Mowen, alvin single handedly turn over the tide in the last few holes when all seems gone n lost.
