| Hi Guys,
Just want to find out what type of golf balls are more popular.
Currently using DT-Solos and the occasional Pro-V1s (free from clients/events).
Previously using Callaway Iz-tour...
Pro-V1 seems best of the lot for me as it gives better control in the short game though lacking in distance. Another problem is its cost!
Any advice for a newbie golfer like me?

| I am using the Taylormade Burner Tour which is a 3 layer ball and feel is quite good, much cheaper than Pro V/V1.
Bridgestone e6+/e7+ is good too, now selling $49 per dozen.
But I feel Taylormade gives me longer distance than the Bridgestone's offering, including their new BX-330 series.

| Pro V1s are for seasoned beginners... So if you are one, stick with it... Real beginners go for 50cts balls | |

| Golf direct (Kaki Bukit) got an unknown Taylormade series (Taylormade XD), I think $19 per dozen, $90 for 5 dozens. Pretty much as Noodle, cheap and good, value for money! Hit into hazards also not so heart pain... | |

Yes, was using TM TP Black LDP until TM stopped production, had replaced it with TM Burner Tour. Not much of a difference, feel and cost. Last I saw, there's a golf shop at Far East still stocking up the TP Black. Can't remember the name of the shop but it's on the opposite side from Greenfield, near to a sports pub.

| I personally like the feel of Pro V1 and Taylormade Pentas but find that I lose some distance with these two balls compared to some others I have used. | |

| I uses Srixon Softfeel. Being a beginner, it works for me. Anyway, Dont know how to spin ball back at green. They are selling at Isetan at $26/dozen, buy 4 dozen, give one free. | |

| I'm using bridgestone e6+ balls currently. I like the arrow logo marking on the ball, helps me to line up the putt pretty well. And I dunno if it's psychological or wat, I tend to lose lesser balls when using e6+ balls, prob cos at the back of mind I'm thinking this ball will not slice/hook too much haha..
Last weekend, picked up a pro v1x while playing at mbgc and the ball performed well too! Now tempted to change to pro v1x..

| I'm using Wilson smartcore (distance?) currently till I lose them all probably during my next game.
I like them because 3 boxes for $48. Hard little rocks; need to cater for a bit more release and run when chipping... but at that price...cannot complain too much..
