| In line with another thread....I tot of putting this up...not so much to echo the ettiquette but instead to just highlight experiences so that we can learn fm them as there are times...at least me, I am just ignorant So what irritates me ???? I think top of the list must situation when flight in front is like my standard...and try to 2 ON for Par 5 which require carry of 200m at least.......... | |

| Marshals who rush you along even when there are no flights behind you. They expect everyone to hit good-to-perfect shots throughout the round. | |

| For me, when I cun find my ball when I indeed hit the fairway.. Especially when I see some other people came over to my fairway looking for balls. Cun help suspecting they stole my ball! | |

| I agree with TS: Discourteous and unsympathetic course marshalls.
Stealing others golf balls sux aslo as RS stated. I have SEEN others walk away with balls that landed in their fairway even though it is was obvious it was hit from the next fairway! When confronted by the owner of the errant golf ball, they usually just deny it and walk away.
Littering--cigarette butts, sweet wrappers, bottle caps, sunflower seed husks need to be placed in the rubbish bins, not the fairways and greens.
I have even seen a 'used' condom lying near a fairway bunker on a course in Texas once!

| Speaking of taking others golf ball, I may be the culprit once.. Par 3, I landed the ball on the rough in between my fairway and the other fairway.
I knew where the ball landed and I found it.. Callaway Warbird. So I chipped into the green. *the other fairway - I din see anyone playing..
When I was putting, someone from the other fairway came looking for the ball at the same spot I found "my" ball and told his partner that his ball is Callaway Warbird.
I suspected that may be his ball which until now I duno if it is. Cos I didn't mark my ball. Now, I marked all my balls. keke.

Like the 3-waggle-double-line-up-pose-waggle-again-then-hit-the-ball rituals? These are quite common but I don't think they take too much time. I've also seen golfers who survey the entire green by looking at their putting line from all angles. It takes a while. Then they hit and it doesn't even reach the hole though the line is right. What do they do next? Repeat the whole process of surveying the entire green again. Dude: the line was right... the strength was wrong. Hit again'lah!

| it is ok to 3 waggle, double line up, pose, waggle again then hit the ball if you ball turns out decently.
But not do that for every stroke. all 144 strokes.

But not do that for every stroke. all 144 strokes. Mental note to myself: no waggling when playing with MC

| i also do waggle myself and i know i take a long time to address... but what just pisses me off is that someone else takes longer than me and got to the point where even at his own home club, his own marshal is chasing him to play faster. | |

| things (or behaviours) that irritate me on the golf course:
A golfer in the flight ahead walks up to his ball... examines the lie... walks back to buggy... chooses A club... walks back to golf ball... address ball... walks back to buggy... chooses another club... walks back to golf ball... address ball... walks back to buggy... chooses yet another club...

| Haha!!!
Take too long to address & walking to buggy and take clubs is also something I dislike. Addressing longer time is okay for a few holes la.. those that are more difficult or those that u suddenly feel wierd on your address. If it's just a habit then it's taking too long time.

If i THINK i need a 7 iron for a particular shot.. i will take my 6, 7 and 8 irons with me.. helps to speed up play as well and making it more enjoyable for everyone

| Yes bros, the lists goes on and on....but lets look on the bright side or Roystonnn backside... It a blessing anytime when we go onto the course and play the game we all loves so much, while we play...millions are working their heads off to make ends meet. Many of us have to take our prizes leaves to play or to sneaking out from work just to hit our $1.50 balls. Just look around the golf course and admired the trees, flower, chase that monitor lizard and pee into the pond that eat up your Pro V ball ! Just ignore that marshall that keep looking at your new Skin, Be Happy and enjoy the game. If your flight mate talked too much, the back and front flights play football, you lost 2 balls every 1 hole, your golf shoes gives way, Uncle Lau Buaya your Cheng Teng with his 30 footer putt etc....be Blessed that we are alive and playing golf. Take a deep breath when we are angry with things around the course, smile at your new ball that is on the other fairway and a pretty lady pick it up and put in her pink pants........We only live this life once...we will never walk it again. So Bros and sisters, please enjoy your well earned game, be happy, be Blessed, We are Golfing while others are.... Enjoy and God Blessed !!!!!!! | |

| Not golf course related, but driving range......When outside instructors come to OCC and conduct lessons at the range and on the academies short game area. Very unethical!! | |

| What I dun like on the course is when the front flight dun move off immediately after hitting the ball, they stay there and keep the club and arrange the bag while the rest of the flightmates have already move off, dun even bother if there is a flight waiting behind.
Come to think about it, thats a good mental training.... encounter alllll the irritating things on course and handle them...

RSC, I agree with you. Outside coaches should not be allowed. However, if it's just friendly advice from a better golfer to a new golfer - would that irk you as well? Just asking cause I've seen some range pros getting upset and telling the golfers not to do so.

| I guess its not so easy to tell if there is money changing hands but it is not nice to do such things. I've encountered it when I work in a fitness centre and you can tell clearly she is not there to train but to teach.
On driving range is a bit harder. but the notice only says no coaching, whether free or not you are not suppose to coach... am I suppose to interpret it this way???

| Tips? Coach, Teach, whatever... just don't do it loudly.. Here I am trying to figure out my terrible swing and I hear incessant chanting... So far all my pros whisper their tips... Be considerate. See signature. | |
