Feel the same way about their covers - have had TM driver, hybrid and putter and not one of them has stood the test of time (and sun and wind). They make great clubs and much of their budget goes into marketing, but really their covers need some work.

This is not to say covers from other brands look new after a few years; some of them are starting to look retro as well, but none of them as faded/cracked or mangy as the TM ones.

China also have place equivalent to Sungei Rd standard, so perhaps those faded fast and furious are made there?

Ping are manufactured in USA thats why the higher in prices and quality control, testing by
robot arms, individual check by experience human eyes. These make the different and they are able to maintain the prices.

Whereas other brand launch with $700.00 price today and $299.00 2 months down the road!

My Nike Driver cover made in China the hairy soft black velvet is NOW BOTAK! Just after few months!

Ping has good price control policies that's why it is able to hold its value. Titleist as well, but now that Acushnet is bought by Fila Korea, not too sure what will happen to the brand.

That is not to say all Ping products are made in the US. Their G5 drivers had the head made in one country, Aldila shaft made in another, and the whole thing assembled in China, shipped to the US head office for QC, and then flown to Singapore - truly a global effort!
