New addicted golfer ,new to here, new to everything!need sharing and guidience

Hi everyone!

recently, im falling in love with golf! never knew i would be addicted to it after some swings. Golf has been flooding my mind nowadays.

I wana get real. How do i get started? do i go for lessons 1st or theres a theory test call PC? much appreciated fellas! thanks!

hahaha......welcome to this forum then. You are at the right place for golf addicts and all.

Well yes, you do have to take up basic lessons (usually 10). After which you take a PC test to get PC; it is some sort of licence to play on course. However, some course may not allow you to play with PC wor.
So you have to move on to handicap test.

But I believe, some golf lessons nowadays packaged their basic lessons with handicap so no need to take PC then HC. Just go for the main event.

As for lessons, you may wish to check my golf kaki, NSRCC Changi or even Keppel Club range.

Alternatively, there are a couple of pros here in the forum. You may wish to check with them directly by messaging them. See 'Ask the Pro'.

Oh yea, do join us every Wed at Marina Bay for range and get-together TCSS sessions.
Sometimes, you may learn even more during these gatherings about the game, rules, equipment, buayas to watch out for etc.....

Having golf lessons is the sure way to start.

If I may suggest, do get to know more golf kaki or few good friends to play golf with 'regularly'. Without which I've seen many aspiring ppl dropping out of the game after sometime.

I also recommend golf lessons with one kaki/partner (lesson for two). Enough to spur each other and not too crowded that you get little attention from the coach. Cost would be around $50 per hour per pax (times 10hrs).

Do a google search on the forum and you will find discussions on ranges and coaches recommendation.

To find a Kaki, join the range sessions, or introduce yourself to the thread for female golfers only, maybe you can find new friends. (sorry im assuming "tinkerbelle" is female). There are enough golf kakis in the forum to keep you busy with golf.
