Laguna and raffles have 2 x 18, and orchid has 3 x 9?

| the land lease for all the other clubs except Warren will expire in 2020.
the Land lease for JCC is renewed up to 2035 hence the price is adjusted.

| Joint PUB-SLA Press Release On SICC The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has informed the Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) that PUB has decided not to proceed with the early extension of lease for the SICC golf course land.
In 1991, Government decided to convert Temporary Occupation Licences (TOLs) for golf courses to 30-year leases at market rates. A one-off discount of 50% in land valuation was granted to the then existing golf clubs to help them adjust progressively to market rentals.
As most of these leases will be expiring between 2020 and 2025, the extension of leases of SICC as well as the other golf clubs will be considered nearer the expiry of the leases. (SICC's lease has another 18 years to run before it expires in 2021).
This will enable management of leases for golf course land in Singapore to be on a fair and transparent basis. Extending these leases prematurely and repeatedly long before they reach expiry will limit planning flexibility and prevent the issuance of fresh 30-year leases.
Issued by: Singapore Land Authority 14 April 2004
E & E.O.....i should have stated 2020 to 2025.

| extension of lease means top up. the leases runs out around 2020 and 2021 except for Warren.
there are 3 temporary golf sites, the rest are renewable every 30 years. I believe MBGC and Kranji are amongst the temporary sites.
but what is your point? chocoman.
i help the guys at JCC give out application forms and thats all i do. i am not a committee member nor am i an agent of the club.

| My point is not all the clubs mentioned here above have their leases expiring between 2020 or 2025.
So if anyone is going to spend 55 k for a mbership now, pls consider other stuff as well for eg ratio of member per hole n accessibility of getting flights on weekends, not just the lease although it is very important.

| thank you for the clarification chocoman.
of course golfers will have to consider some valid points besides just the lease.
1. management - which is really broad but important 2. infrastructure and facilities investments 3. quality of the golf course and total members versus no of holes 4. sociability of the members 5. distance
and many many more like brag factor included.

| Hey DGMan, did you know the first phase was apparently over-subscribed. Now the joining fee has been raised to $58K and will continue to be adjusted upwards to circa $65K plus when course works are fully completed. Good news is that the 3-year interest free instalment plan is still available.
For some, perhaps the much longer lease and up-coming Jurong Lake District makes it a more attractive investment? What do you think?

| yes with the announcement of the lake district and the rezoning of recreational facilities, most golf courses will be on the upward spiral. there will be no more new golf courses in Singapore.
the only thing that will stop the price from climbing is:
1. less influx of expats 2. expansion of land 3. less people taking up golf and more giving up golf
you do the sums, like i say, we are only facilitating and not a sales agent. for those who have a chance to speak to me in person on this, you know that i urge you to act.

| Hi all,
Thank you for your interest in JCC. Our first phase of membership sales was indeed over-subscribed and closed yesterday. We're currently into our second phase and although the official membership price is now $63,000, we're continuing with our offer of an "early bird" price for those who join now. As before in our first phase, only a limited number of memberships are available at this special price of just $58,000.
Additionally, do note that buyers can still take advantage of our 3-yr interest-free instalment payment plan. And, if you join as a group (more than 1) we're offering attractive "buyer-get-buyer" cash and F&B incentives for the "recommenders".
We'd also like to share some observations based on some of the earlier posts:
1. Not all clubs in Singapore are true "member's" clubs. If you're joining a "proprietary" club, do note that your membership rights are much more limited compared to joining a member's club like JCC.
2. It's true that there are other factors beyond land lease, that buyers of any golf membership should consider, as pointed out in one of the posts. Here are some "facts" about JCC for your consideration:
- JCC has only about 1,800 golfing members, which is substantially fewer than many other golf clubs in Singapore. This may explain why most of our members, as a general rule, do not encounter many problems getting a tee time.
- Our course is being re-built entirely by E&G Parslow, who are also the architects responsible for KLGCC and Saujana (among others) both of which have been re-built very nicely. Current course works completed at JCC indicate that we will likewise have a wonderful, challenging, and imminently playable "brand new" course soon!
- JCC has night golfing, unlike most other clubs. What's makes our night golfing facility unique is that it's enabled by a truly top-notch mulit-million dollar lighting system. Having a proper night golf proposition, along with the fact of our longer land lease and the impending development of the Jurong Lake District - perhaps makes an investment in a JCC membership a more viable option for some, in our view.
In signing off, we'd like to thank everyone here once again for their interest in JCC. Do feel free to contact any of our Membership Consultants if you should wish to find out more.
Cheers and have a great golfing weekend ahead!
