| Folks.. I just got back from SF on a SQ flight, carried my golf clubs with a travel cover. The usual.. So I opened the golf bag at home and found my brand new Proto K broken near the tip! My K!!!!! aaarrgh I had wrapped clothes for extra padding in the club heads area etc but it looks like US airport security somehow took the clothes out and placed them within the travel cover randomly. I called SQ and they are investigating. No promises. My company bought the tickets so I don't know if there is travel insurance for damaged articles. I've lost luggages on a SQ flight before, and they compensated me in full. Hoping that they treat damaged items similar to lost luggage. Bit dicey though...fingers crossed. Has this happened to you? How did the airline respond? thanks! | |

| Bro, You got your personal travel insurance ? I think this can be claimed as long as you provide sufficient information and evidence... | |

| Call your golf insurance co and ask them to provide detailed instructions and exact documents to provide. They shud cover, as long as you follow their instructions. And if it happens to be MSIG, then be extra careful because these folks are not in mood to pay unless you abide by their rules and timeframe. | |

| My experience with airlines is they do not pay.
the best thing is buy a golf insurance or one of those annual travel insurance which covers a wide spectrum.
the record claim i have done is for a customer whose windscreen was smashed and the entire bag including Bushnell and all the aftermarket shafts for his R9. the bill came to over $4000 and the insurance company paid. The incident happened in Pebble Beach USA of all places.

| Sorry about the miss happened. I would suggest to get hard cover travel bag in future. I have this Bad Boy and the PVC hard cover does do a lot of protection for the club head. I hope you do get compensation for the lost but I think the chance would be slim if you do not have golf or personal insurance cover this. sorry bro ... [img] [/img] | |
