| Hi everyone, just want to find out if anyone uses any Energy Gels or Bars during their games. Does it really work? Sometimes I can't help but feel abit hungry half way through or towards the end of an 18 hole game and it does take the concentration levels away. Eating a piece of bar made with fruits and oat sounds really dry to me and eating it in the hot weather + feel dehydrated = to me... | |

| Hiya... good that you raised this up. Yes I do take energy gel... but only when running a marathon, where u need the convenience of sucking out of a pack.
On the golf course, I would prefer something more palatable. Bite size brownies available from petrol station washed down with beer... or 100 plus is wonderful perk me ups!

Hahah I totally agree with you on the beer part even though alcohol actually dehyrates a person faster but drinking it just feels good....but keeping it chilled throughout 18 holes can be quite a challenge though....bring an entire cambro with ice? I tried bringing some curry puff before but messy....

| hmmm buy a small ice box? The type that you use for fishing? can get from any hard ware shop, disposable small foam boxes, all these can fit into a buggy... yes... nothing beats having beer to relax and remove inhibition... | |

| I usually brought a can of Red Bull for my no 10 hole keke. Sure to maintain my energy level for the last of the 9s. But I do at times bring along an energy bar or sometimes bananas.Just me.

| so here is my gauge....to run half marathon, I take 1 sachet of gel.......and such, I think for one game of golf, taking gel is abit overkill.

| I do take energy bars or muesli bars. Quite nice!! But because it's mainly made of nuts etc, crows somehow are able to smell it even when unopened. Kena 'stolen' a number of times :-( | |

| Sometimes... I would have a Promax Bar or a Viper Active Sports Drink. Of cos having a energy drink i feel that you still need to wash it down with tons of water, so i normally carry a 3L Coleman bottle with me | |

| Besides my energy bar, there's 1 can of Red Bull plus 1 can of 100 plus and a litre of plain water. All stored in a chilled bag inside with 2 packs of frozen ice pack. So my drinks all still felt pretty chilled lasting the whole 18 holes titu | |
