| Just curious, is there a lifespan of clubs esp hybrids? I've a nickent 3DX for ~4/5 years (or longer). Playing it well but was always wondering if the performance could've been better The head is already old and marks so no point changing shaft. Also wondering if new technology could've been better. Btw, if anyone selling G15 hybrid, I maybe interested. | |

| Hybrids nowadays are more forgiving due to better tech to lower the MOI. (if thats a reason to change) | |

| The lifespan of a hybrid pretty much depends on how itchy ur backside is | |

Hear hear. I've had my trustworthy Cleveland 3H for over a year and I don't plan to give it up as long as it doesn't fall apart physically. I even thought of buying a spare since it plays well for me.

Your idea of John 3:16 quite different from mine. I didn't know it extends to golf gear.

Best way to prove to yourself that your 'ole trusty' holds up against the new ones on the market is to test them against yours at the range side by side. Then you'll answer your own questions once and for all and not be psychoed by the salesman constantly telling you how well you are hitting the new club. My hybrid is as old as the the hills, but it works well for me, and I haven't come across another that is vastly superior to mine, so I see no reason to change. It's a Cleveland Halo by the way, the first proper hybrid from the company, practically a dinosaur already. Note that hitting longer with the new hybrids is a given since over the years, the lofts have gotten stronger. A 3H from a few years back was 22 deg, now a 3H is 19 deg. The problem with the increasingly stronger lofts, is the increasing distance gap between your longest iron and hybrids.
