Vancouver Golf (warning : pix intensive)

Played 3 courses altogether. All were public courses, with an average rate of about $79 CAN.

1. GreenAcres, Richmond B.C.

2. Furry Creek, Very near Whistler.
(Most beautiful Par 3 I have ever played anywhere in the world)

3. Westwood Plateau, Port Coquitlam.

We had 4 days of sunshine, and the weather was a cool 16-18 deg. LOVELY!!!!

The captivating view killed my tee shot. See if you can spot the flag. It's a 200 yard drop in elevation.

i spent my summer n winter break in Van during my uni-days....

Van is top of my list to retire...

when my kids are old enough, i will bring them there....

Over there, everything is mostly lush and manicured, sadly, I never have the chance to try.

@mizzy.. like Birdman said, look at the lush fairways and flawless greens.. I've never seen greens this perfect ANYWHERE before. The guy who joined my flight kept taking divots the size of Cadbury chocolate bars, and it was just painful to watch the grass being mutilated.. ehehhee...

But otherwise, the most wonderful golf course i've played thus far.

Not many knows this but the Furry Creek Golf Course along the Sea to Sky Highway was highlighted in the film 'Happy Gilmore'.

It was the scene where Bob Barker beat the crap out of Adam Sandler after they lost the Pro-Am.

Nice pics. Reminded me of my roadtrip up there 2 mth ago.

I also toy with that idea but to get the residentship, I was told one need to have a 500K investment...

well, from the pics I can't really tell. most times from outside the golf course I see like dam steam.. then when go inside play, realise not so steam.. the usual nice from far, but far from nice adage.

I always see the PGA fairway look so nice and the divot comes out in cadbury bars like TFP says.. just never see it in person and not around here. not even in sudney when I played there.

Trust me mizzy... it's as lush as a velvet sofa in an airconditioned carpeted room..
