No, Khokar slices and fades. But we were lucky to get a ranger on the course today who followed us around for the whole 18 holes. The ranger actually retrieved most of the lost balls. And we were playing the mountainous course where OBs and penalty areas were like heavy bushes and paddy fields. Didn't leave a very good first impression on Khokar about his golfing experience in Jakarta, I guess.

| Yep... If you played the course, you'd know it's gonna be like a war zone. It's an open course, bordering with civilians' housing (kampong)... At times, there are a lot of kids trying to steal your balls even when it goes a step OB. So these rangers will go and pick those balls and return them to you! Cool, hey? | |

I wish I could find someone good enough to take out those kids off the tee box with the driver...

| Back to the topic: 9064LS I just got mine, it is Chad Campbell's back up head (his caddy sold it to a friend of mine who knew I was going to take it in a heartbeat) thus no serial (as with all Adams' tour head) but has this 'C1" etched on the hosel. It is an 8.5* head, weighing 201 grams with a little open face and a little upright lie. I try to post the picture, but Internet has been a luxury these days in this 3rd world country so (connection) speed don't allow. Sorry. The head was Fedexed and got to me on Monday together with the 9032LS (Speedline). Both tour issue. I put a BFG's Gram'an Proto-K 70S in the 9064LS (Jon actually suggested this combo, thanks Jon!) and an Aldila Voodoo SVS6 in the 9032LS. I put it on Trackman right away and I got good numbers out of these two combos. But the 9064 is the one stands out the most. My gamer is a tour issue TM 282 Supoerquad (also 8,5*, square face and a little upright) with a prototype Matrix Ozik TPHD, blue version. I love this combo, it's been in my bag for a long time. I have tried numerous driver combos over the years and I kept on coming back to this one. Some are noticeably longer (FT-9TA with TP6HD) but didn't give me the consistency and dispersion of the TM. The only complaint over my gamer is: it spins too much for my liking. As soon as we assembled the Adams, we put them on Trackman right away and compared them to my 2 other drivers: the TM and the Callaway FT-9TA. The result was astonishing. Bottom line: The Adams 9064LS with Proto-K knocked my gamer out of my bag! It gives about the same consistency and dispersion (if not better) and longer distance! I couldn't believe it, but 2 days and countless hits later... it don't change one bit! I decided to game it the next day (a course I was really familiar with), see if it really behaving as the Trackman indicated. 18 holes later, the Adams really knocked my TM out of my bag! I tried really hard to like the Proto-K since the beginning of the year but I couldn't find a head worthy of this shaft. Now, I finally found it! Better distance, better dispersion and such an easy shaft to swing! And the bonus: I lowered my spin considerably (started to see a lot of rolls on the ground) and finally lowered my trajectory considerably. Found 12 of 14 fairways: one was too brave to make a short cut and ended up mis-judging the hazards and the other was a lousy down-slope tee box position that I was not aware of and hit it right to the neighboring fairway. Now my TM Superquad 282 can finally rest for a bit, after being on duty for so long... Mission accomplished... for now! Waiting for Jon to get back to me on the 9064-Aldila RIP combo. If it is any better than the Proto-K (which I hope it is not), I would be tempted to make that switch since I got one of those RIP 60S and 70X lying somewhere in the workshop. If the combo is not better than the Proto-K combo, I got something better up my sleeve: an Aldila NV RIP... Jon, if you read this... please give us an update on the Aldila RIP, thanks! | |

| Good review. Saw another one that was gushing about the 9064 and was going to ask you for more info. Looks like timing is pretty good. Saw one on WRX going for USD300 and another for USD400, heads only, both tour units.
hmmmm. | |

| Ghoonk, if you look at it, it is actually quite a unique design. It is a high-MOI kind of head but they hide it well. At address, it looks really traditional! Since you are coming to SG in a bit, it would be a great idea to get one from Jon. Get DGman to fit you with Proto-K.
Jon, any updates on the Aldila RIP in this head?

Hey Yarra, Nothing yet on the head as its been sitting idle in my room... Been having some important games so not swapping my driver out yet Should be ranging the next couple of days so should have a good gauge then So far on the Trackman, i feel that the 9.5 launches too low for me

Asahi... There is an LD model but unless you swing like Jamie Sadlowski, i would recommend that you stick with the LS model The LD model face is thicker so if your swing speed is slower than 120mph you will not be able to maximize the "trampoline" effect. The LS model face is thinner to provide the "trampoline" effect more effectively

| Ahhhhh, now I see. Was just curious why not contemplating the LD model.
Thanks for the clarification Jon!
