| i heard joey poh is on D4... not sure how true..
in any case, u can always go buy the lead tape to add on your club and try. 1 tape is about 4 gram and will increase the swing weight by 1

| I have played with TX90 but with a D5 swing weight. At that time I was not so technical, I don't feel any different. | |

| My short irons are around D7, short irons are around D4.5-5
Trick for me is to slow down my backswing, then rip it on the downswing with this kind of swingweight

| Ghoonk, should the swing weight be gradual? Heavy on short iron lighter on longer irons? Or they should be constant throughout? | |

| I will give total weight the priority rather than swing weight! Its more to it than just swing weight by it self, as its about the total balance of the club in a "art form" rather than being too scientific about it! as swing weight is about feel on each individual..... just to add on... total weight will help in tempo of each individual golfer! Guide line will be, as heavy as one can handle! | |

| its 2 g one swing weight when attached to the club head and 5 g to move one sw when attached to the grip.
so 4 g added on the head is 2 swingweight shift.
other than that sw is a preference. total weight has more effect on accuracy and distance than sw which has more effect for feel.

| Does that mean a heavier sw for swingers as compared to a hitter ?

| I was presently surprise when I played well with a DG R400! I over shot my target on a few occasion. All along I thought the lighter the better?
So today I tested with a PW and 7i with an increased Swing Weight. PW Swing weight increased fro D1 to D3 7i increased by 1.5 Swing weight.
Conclusion, there is no increase in distance but the 7i has an improved feel.

| Hey, I found that a heavier swing weight on my PW is much nicer to chip! Let me know if you have the same experience? | |

| Recently just tried a vokey wedge from fren n felt heavy- guess the sw must b a tad heavy.. Very good n stable downswing and it sort of control the ball quite accurately.. Yes, do agreed with yr findings.
On a separate note, tried a heavy sw on my driver just to play with it- think d4, on a 57g stiff shaft. It does not work for me n the feel is more dead than ever.. When was fitted a much heavier shaft by Ivan withthe same sw feel I was scared of the same results but the heavier weight of it sort of balance it up with the heavier sw.
As a not so technical guy, I must admit that it is impt to consider the total weight, mainly shaft dependent, vis-a-vis the sw. There is definitely a correlation to it ....

| Hillgreen, so you find the heavier shaft works better for you? I found the R400 work well, but need to go for a few more rounds to confirm. | |

| Hi, yes generally. On one ocassion , it does not really work for me... Rem the Adam driver that I get from u. The weight of the head is actually few grams lighter than the norm n when I fitted to a heavy shaft (some weight was attached to make it heavier) , it does not really work. Somehow, the ball does not fly straight n I suspect the weight distribution is not well balanced. - seebayho wrote:

| Yesteday I played 9 holes at Pemas Jaya with the R400. Unfortunately, I could not achieve the same distance as my 1st game. This time I seem to fell short by 1 to 2 club length, dispites some very solid hit. I wonder why. However, the tee off shots seems to be ok. | |

| Give them more time to confirm the distance of the shafts,I would day.
Especially since your tee shots are ok.
