PING K15 HYBRID IRON SET GRAPHITE 3H, 4H & 5-PW

i am thinking to order PING K15 HYBRID IRON SET GRAPHITE 3H, 4H & 5-PW from internet.

This will be my first golf set. I am still under training and pretty interested with golf.

I am not interested with 2nd hand set.

What do you guys think about this set?

I hope you got custom fitted before ordering, thru online at least. Putter Length, irons/wedge color code and shaft flex.

the K15 is not available yet ... i was told next week it will be shipped ...

btw i am a super newbie LOL ... i cant even hit more than 75m on no 7 but i think i like this game

in the first place, did u do a fitting??? u can get the most out of the clubs if u r fitted correctly...
then again, there are pple who swear by gg stock... even for stock, PING has got some simple fitting to do...

fm ur setup, it looks like u r gg for the super game improvement type...
descrpition of the K series looks that way...
further G10 is 1 gen b4 G15, should u decide to sell, the resale value is lower...

it all depends... there are instances when buying fm internet is more ex than buying locally after the shipping and currency conversion...

The online shop has a live chat expert basically asked my height and age also how far i could hit ...

I dont think it is really fitted set. Almost everything i set on the ping is standard configuration.

Total i paid 1900 USD including shipping perhaps 7% GST more when it arrived in Singapore for Custom.

I am not sure if that is a good deal ... I bought it from Internet as it is convenient (the site was recommended by a co worker in US) and do not know which local shop is trustworthy.

I hope i made the right purchase ... in the worse scenario buy another set LOL when i know more about this game.

You are 4 months old ... I am just 3 weeks old on this game

It is fun especially i could swing it consistently 50 and above and hear that "Tok" sound LOL

have you join any club membership? which one would you recommend?

I have paid USD 1900 including shipping + 7% later for Singapore custom.

I ran through the PING web based fitting and going to get my instructor to review it

Thank you mysticsea for noticing the g10, Scott is going to test out K15 driver next week to see if it is work while to pay 299 USD for it

the k15 is the new replacement for the rapture range so its super game improvement clubs which should suit you.
the g10 is not a bad club but its technology is a touch dated.
you should at least swing for the g15 driver.
and you can resell the g15 easier if you need to.
ditto on the fitting.
the k15 will be cast which means it will be difficult to change the lie angle if there is no notch on the hosel.

In this case, should i go to the local fitting shop and run through the numbers? (I am ok to pay them for this service)

I am worried they might not entertain me as I have already bought the set and not from them. Perhaps you could recommend a shop?

The US side is able to modify based on any numbers for me while waiting for the K15 to hit the store.

I am a pretty newbie so haha cant swing properly yet ... i am on my 6th lessons ... just learnt putting last weekend.

There's a few club fitters around.

You can try Wizgolf at AMK and Big Fish at Bukit Merah and OCC

no problem ... we are all here to help...
its best that you go to a ping fitter to get fitted for the right color code and other specs.
but the shaft range is limited in singapore so you can't demo all the shafts avail in the states.
hence the shaft selection will be a bit of a guess... esp for the driver....
there is one at rangoon road called bob's golf and i think you can fitted at the bishan range too.
however, you have to call them to check if you can just pay for fitting.
alternatively, you can go with eiji's suggestion and get your specs from a clubfitter like big fish and get the ping code that best matches them.

Since i am pretty new and my style has not been developed ... i guess i am going with ping black iron color code which fits my profile.

From there i am going to work on the clubs till I am more comfortable and will get another really fitted set.

So far it has been a fun journey from googling and buying my first set online (without really know what i need and what some of those are for) LOL

thank you guys and hopefully when I am better playing, we could have a game together.
